An Electric Event for a Watery Dragon!

Hello everyone! Your world saviour Ignatious the cat here! I'm in a bit of a predicament right now, so I thought you should come along to help me! Wait, no one else is here except you. That's fine! Ok, so here is what's going on, I've been hanging out with a certain person since me and my friends saved the world some weeks ago. She is actually fairly new, came here in that giant space ship that arrived a small while ago. I've been able to hang with her, going out to places with her and her friends. These were at first just simple fun times, going for a run in the forest, the park and the city islands. Getting lunch and exchanging stories, the things you normally do with friends right?

I thought so also. Though I always had this weird feeling, something I wasn't quite sure of. Then, one night, everything changed. I still remember it very clearly, since it only happened two days ago. Me and Lilac were going out to see a movie, the others were conveniently busy. So it was just us two to go and see Black Panther. ( Great movie by the way, would recommend.) Anyway we went there for fun, I paid for the popcorn and pretzel bits, and two large sodas. Honestly those sizes are crazy, one small is like a supersize at Mcdonalds. Anyway, we watched the movie, second to the top row. Just me, in my stylish yellow and brown clothes like I normally wear. Lilac in her usual white gi, a red belt with a yellow lace hanging off the front, her gloves and boots a baby blue. She looked pretty. As for the movie itself? It was so lit! There was one point in the movie when Lilac placed her right hand over my left, though she quickly removed it. I'm not sure whether it was on accident, but it left both of us fairly flustered. Or Lilac rather, I wouldn't get flustered by a mere friend! I'm a hero!

After the movie, I had the idea to bring Lilac back to the hilly region, just beyond the forest. She agreed, and we ran there together. Yes, we ran. Unlike you normal folk, I can run very fast, with my blazing fiery hotness! Lilac was also pretty speedy, being a descendant of an ancient race of water dragons, I guess that would be logical. The two us raced through the forest, zipping around trees, their long branches extending over us, creating a kind of roof of leaves. Large roots on the ground made it a little tricky, but we managed. Occasionally a woodpecker up above or a bear in the distance would take notice of us. But we were so fast it didn't matter, we headed on. Eventually we reached the hills biome. I lead Lilac up to the peak of one of the taller hills. The sky was dark with the color of the night. Me and the dragon girl plopped down in the soft grass, gazing up at the hundreds of stars before us. I thought it was cool, but Lilac was enjoying it much more. Her eyes seemed to expand 3 fold as she looked, her mouth opening in shock.

" This is sooo beautiful! I can't believe your planet has these kinds of views!" She had exclaimed.

I remember just sitting there, watching her. Something about the way her dark purple hair fell down over her shoulders and around her face. Her two large dragon tendrils curled around her back. Her nicely toned greyish purple legs and arms, her eyes the color of light purple, like a soft twilight as the sun sets into dusk. At that point I realized that I might've had feelings that were more than just friends. But, how could that be? She was just friend and I was a hero!...But, she was also a hero, the one who saved her previous planet, Avalice. I recall something her friend had said to me: Anyone who gets her affection is lucky. That wasn't true, Lilac didn't like me!...Right? Shortly after that we separated, heading back to our homes to sleep for the night. You might assume I just forgot and moved on with my heroic duties of saving the world. I wished I could have.

I Couldn't stop thinking of her. Every night, I would lay awake, in my bed. Images of Lilac kept popping up, telling me things, showing me things I wanted to see and hear. They would not go away! Finally I told my good buddy Razma about it. He would be able to help me with the issue!
" You like her huh? I knew it!" Raz told me excitedly during breakfast. " What you should do, is make something special for her!" I put down my cream bagel.

" How? I can't make stuff! I'm not creative!" I admitted. That was one of my flaws, it was a pain in the buttocks to make something unique for people. But I saved people instead so that normally replaced the issue. " What can I do?" I asked helplessly.

" Well, what does she enjoy most?" Raz asked me. I thought about it. I remembered the moment on the hill.

" She likes starry skies. No wait. She likes good views. Something nice to look at I guess, like the night sky stars." Raz looked at his pastry, bacon bits and cheese filling slipping out the front.

" Ok. Good views, got it. Hmm...What about the arctic tundra?" He looked at me expectantly.

" Uh, the what?" I asked, not because I didn't know. But because I obviously needed reassurance on the topic at hand. Raz laughed.

" The icy region. Remember the cave we passed on our travels to stop Hefferion? There is this one part of the cavern that's basically a huge mirror room. I'm thinking we can go in and experiment. Maybe set up something shiny and cool for her to see!" Raz smiled his usual goofy grin. I thought for a bit, then smiled.

" Yeah sure! How would we make this event though?" I asked. Raz finished his pastry.

" That whole cavern had a thing for taking elements and mixing them into patterns remember? That we could use!" He said triumphantly.

I chewed on my bagel. " Right. Then how would we set this up exactly? Do you know the ins and outs of the cave building?" I had to be sure this could work. Unfortunately, Raz just looked at me unknowingly.

" Nope. Why don't we ask that tech dude? Alex?" He suggested. I stood up to put the plates in the sink.

" OH right, he could help! Sure! Let's go after I finish these dishes."

" Ok, just don't burn them again." Raz got up and walked into his room.

" Hey! That was a mistake!" I called back. After me and Raz got on all our clothes, we dashed on over to my friend Alex's house in the small neighbourhood that was also on my island. From the outside, it didn't look like much. Just some casual looking housing lining the streets,a small park close by. Shopping areas in the distance. Not bad actually, though I preferred the peace of my beach side shack, built by me of course. Once we reached his front door, I knocked. The door swung inward, there stood my tech savvy friend. Alex was a purple wolf, wearing his normal brown bodysuit, white and orange boots. His blue eyes reminded me of a lake in the summer sky, not too dark, but not too light either.

" Hello Iggy, Raz! How are you guys today?" He asked. I always respected his kindness.

" Good afternoon my friend! I'm doing great!" I replied.

" I'm alright, how about ya?" Raz said behind me.

" I am ok. So what's going on?" Alex asked us, he leaned against the door side.

I shuffled my hands a little bit. Only to warm them up, not at all nervous of course.

" Well. I have a...situation I would like your assistance with." I said.

" Alright, what is it?" He questioned me.

" So, you remember, t-that purple girl? The dragon, Lilac?"

" Yeah, what about her?"
" I've um. Been...having some thoughts and, uh…" Why was it so hard for me to say how I felt? I'm the hero! I should be able to say whatever I want and not be worried with such feelings as anxiety!

" Hey, you ok? What thoughts?" Alex looked at me, concerned. I figured he wouldn't judge, hopefully.

" Thoughts, about her. I mean as in like, I can't stop thinking of her. So...me and Raz decided to do something. That might, you know, make her happy?" It was definitely harder to talk now, which bothered me. Alex simply smiled.

" Oh, I see how it is! You've got the feeling haven't you?" He chided.

" Yup! He does! You should see him when we talk about Lilac. He gets redder than he usually is!" Raz had jumped in front of me. I was mildly annoyed.

" Guys! Ok, fine. It's true. But I need your help to tell her. I want to make something. Can I trust you to help me Alex?" I asked, trying to not to look flustered.

Alex stood straight.

" yes! Of course! What is it dude?" He said confidently. I took a deep breath, and told him. I told him about the moment on the hill top, when Lilac had enjoyed the stars. Then I explained Raz's idea about the ice cavern and making a light show. When I finished, Alex put a hand to his chin and thought.

" Ok, I've dealt with lights. This could work. Just give me a second to get some equipment." He went inside the house. A few moments later, he emerged, a massive backpack on his back.

" Woah, all that? And you're helping so quickly?" I asked in surprise.

" Yeah! It's getting to about night time now, so we can go and no one would see us." Alex replied.

" Yeah, we don't want a certain dragon to see us." Raz said, laughing. I did not go red in the face and say something incoherent to Raz to defend myself. Instead, I merely marched on toward the icy lands. My friends following me.

It took us more time than I would've liked, since we had to rent a boat and drive it to the snow island. Having a world full of water is really irritating sometimes. After we docked on the landside, we disembarked and dashed off into the white. I hate this part of the world, since when I ignite my whole body it melts the floor underneath me. I mean, the snow is nice to look at, but not when I'm going to drown.

" It's a good thing there aren't any wild animals out right now. I don't wanna have to fight at the moment." I told my friends.

" Iggy, look ahead." Alex told me. In front of us, was the entrance to the cavern, a little archway for entry. It was dark inside at the moment. Then I saw the problem, there were hundreds of bats sleeping on the cave. Little fluffy creatures hanging all over the place we needed to go. Of course because why not?

" Maybe we can go in quietly?" Raz offered.

" I don't think so, they will sense us." Alex explained. " And they are bloodthirsty bats. These don't eat fruit." I questioned why at this exact moment there had to be creatures like this in our way. I was used to life not helping me, but at a time like this? It was plain ridiculous.

" Fine, we melt 'em, then enter." I decided. " Any objections?"

" That's fine. I like melting with my poison!" Raz held up his boxing gloves. Somehow he had infused poison substances in them so he could throw it at his enemies when he felt like it. Pretty helpful.

" Ok, let's try to not cause too much damage." Alex held up his hands. He had put on his gloves, same color scheme as the shoes. They didn't seem like anything special, but I knew the damage they could do.

I stepped a few feet toward the cave arch. One bat shuddered, then opened its eyes. It saw me and squaked. All the other bats awakened, squaking with its brethren. They charged. You might think it wasn't scary, just bats right? Imagine literally hundreds of blood sucking, flesh eating bats zooming straight at you screeching. That is a little bit worse right? No problem for me though! I ignited my fists. Immediately they were surrounded by flames. I push forward with my arms, releasing geysers of pure fire. It burned many of the bats in front of me, hitting the ground in a steaming pile. More of them came at me. I swung my arms to my sides, blasting out more hot arcs. Multiple bats were hit, falling by the dozens. Only a few managed to scratch me. I shot flames at them and they melted.

I Glanced at Alex, he was doing fine himself. He opened his palms, an orange light charged in them, then he released. Balls of energy hit the bats, leaving them with new holes carved in them. Alex shot down all the bats around him, they fell to his feet. He only got minor scratches. Raz was putting his boxing skills to use on these small foes. Wildly swinging his arms, smacking multiple white bats, they screeched as they were hurtled kilometers away. Raz let out some poison, which buried into the creatures skin, melting them down to the floor. I looked around, all the bats were dead, turned into either a pile of bodies or dust.

" Well done team!" I said proudly. " Let us continue into the cavern." Together the three of us walked into the dark cave, me using my hand as a torch.

We wandered for at least a good ten minutes. If there was one thing I remember about this place, it's that it was confusing as heck. Tons of different paths leading to different exits and more of the cave. But the one dead end we were looking for was specific. By the time I wanted to give up and go home, Raz stopped in his tracks, Alex almost ran into him.

" Here it is! " He pointed to the room on his left. I looked and let out a sigh of relief. We had found it. A circular room, with a dome like ceiling stretching down to the floor. The ice here was perfect for reflecting light and making imagery. There was even a layer behind the ice that was unoccupied, so Alex could set up his devices. How convenient! At this point, I was ready to help with whatever needed helping. But Alex insisted he set up the tech by himself.

" It's better if I do it. Since I know how it works. No offense but I don't want to break it." He told me and Raz. I didn't take any offense. What I didn't like was the fact that I had to wait around. I sat on the icy floor. Gazing at the ceiling, wondering just what Alex would set up here. I had told him what I wanted. Some nice colorful patterns and some hearts too maybe. But the exact details I wasn't sure. But I trusted him. Raz had left to wander the rest of the cavern. He later came back with two large icicles.

" Hey, you want to fight with these?" He asked me.I Joined him in an intense match of frozen sword fencing. What else was there to do? We swung our weapons, trying to get soft hits on each other. Raz won, only because I let him. After that I decided to rest for a bit. I ended up sleeping. I had a dream.

I was with Lilac, and some other blue character. He was blurry, so I couldn't make out his details. He had six large quills coming out of the back of his head. We were in some weird world. Everything was black, with multicolored grid like patterns covering the massive valley we were in. The blue figure addressed us.

" You shouldn't come here. It's dangerous. If he finds you, you will die. I devoted myself to staying to fight him off. Don't involve yourselves." Lilac stepped forward.

" No we have to help! I can't let this happen! We will let you free!" She demanded.

" Do not." The figure faded away. Now we were by ourselves. I took Lilac's arm.

" Hey Lilac, we don't need to worry. We will free him, then we can all be happy! I know I'm happy as long I am with you!" I gave her my best smile. She faced me. Her face turned from distress to happiness.

" Oh Iggy, you're right! Everytime there is a problem, I have you to depend on! I love you!" Lilac then leaned in and kissed me. We got so into we fell to the ground. I began to take off her clothes...I woke up. I told you I had been having weird dreams, do not judge.

Suffice to say I wasn't waking up a happy camper. If you have ever had a good dream and then woken up in the middle of it, you know the feeling. Alex was standing over me.

" You awake? It's finished! Look!" He gestured to the ice wall and pressed a switch. Suddenly thousands of different colors filled the domed wall. My mouth hung open as I watched. Every color you could imagine, blue, red, purple, black, white, orange, teal, green, brown, yellow. All of them. They swirled around each other creating shapes and images. Ones of me and Lilac, being together and the things we had been through. The feelings I had flashed in the form of visual art. All ending with an electric heart at the very top of the ceiling directly over me. I was so shocked I could barely speak.

" Alex...this,this is...amazing! How did you do this?" I asked. He shrugged.

" I have been messing around with color lights for a while like I said. It took sometime, but I like it."

" Dude, that's incredible!" Raz exclaimed. I nodded my head. I got up, no longer feeling annoyed. I shook Alex's hand.

" Seriously, thank you for this." I said. Alex nodded at me. He yawned.

" No problem. Now, can we go back? I'm tired." He asked.

" I can agree with that statement." Raz said. I was still in amazement by the new room that had been created. But I understood my friend's need for sleep.

" Sure." I told them. " We can go home now. I will put good use to this tomorrow. Alex, can you call Lilac and ask if she can meet us at the Starbucks in your city tomorrow afternoon?"

" Yeah, alright." He promised.

We ran back to the boat, it took a little longer getting back since Raz was sleepy. But we made it in time to get a good night's sleep. Normally heroes like me sleep easily, with all the saving I do it's not hard to be tired enough. But tonight, I simply couldn't. I kept thinking of tomorrow. Could I do it? Surely I could, something small like this wouldn't stop a mighty hero! I have stomped colossal robotic monsters before. This wasn't a challenge I told myself. Unfortunately, I didn't believe it. You are probably gonna slip up somehow and look like an idiot. Who would want to be with you then? My subconscious pestered me.

" No!" I said out loud in my hammock inside of the shack. " I can do this! I know I can! I am the hero! Ignatious! Why couldn't I? I can!" I had to force myself to believe it. Whether or not I was successful I don't know, since I fell asleep. This time I had dreams of being rejected. I'm sorry Iggy, you just aren't what I thought you would be. I have better men to hang out with. Lilac tortured me in my dreams.

Finally, I awoke at 2:00 pm. Hey, I like to get a lot of sleep. Which was good, because Raz told me that Alex had texted him. They were to meet in exactly one hour. Praise sleep for letting time go by fast! The two of us ate a small brunch, since we were going to eat again.

" Raz, I don't know if I can do this. I had a nightmare last night." I confessed to my tiger friend. Raz swallowed a piece of toast.

" Dude, come on. Why would you say that? Of course you can do it! The amount of times you talk and think of her proves you have dedication. Which is good. And as for the dragon girl? Man, she likes you. I mean, she has been fairly smitten with you these past few times we had been with her." He assured me. I pushed away my plate of scrambled eggs.

" You think so?" I asked nervously.

" Yeah I do! You got this man!" Raz said cheerfully.

" Hehe, thank you dude. I feel better!" I announced. I stood up and got my clothes on. Raz did the same. At 2:45pm we both zoomed out the door and headed for the city. Along the way, I noticed other couples, laughing and having fun with each other. I might have been a bit jealous. The two of us made it to Starbucks. I saw Alex seated at one of the outside tables. But he wasn't the only one. Lilac and her two friends, Carol, a green cat with a black top and green shorts on, a red scarf hanging around her neck, and Milla, a light sand colored Basset Hound with a yellow top on and green and orange bounds around her wrists and feet, were there also. They talked and ate food and drinks.

Raz began to walk up the steps to join them. I grabbed his arm.

" Dude, this is too much. I think I'll just go home and cry to myself." He faced me.

" Man, we already talked about this. It's not to worry! Nothing is even happening right now. All we are doing is talking! I mean, you gotta ask her to go with you tonight. But you can do it, you're heroic! Heroic people can stand up to this right?" He gave me a hopeful stare. I remembered why I liked this kid so much.

" Yeah, you're right! I can do this! Let us proceed!" I declared. We walked up the steps and took our seats. I sat next to Lilac, a plate in front of me. Someone had ordered me a large plate of fluffy pancakes, a small bottle of syrup sat next to the plate with some milk to go with it. Who ever ordered this made the right choices.

" Hello everyone! How are you this fine day?" I asked. Alex answered first.

" Hi Iggy! I'm fine. I managed to get them here." He gestured to the girls. Carol put down her egg sandwich.

" This is better than I initially thought. Not bad." She decided.

" Yeah my bagel tastes great!" Milla said happily, stuffing a whole bagel in her mouth.

" You always have a big appetite when you're hungry. Is that a dog thing?" Lilac said chuckling. " Regardless, yeah this is fine food. How are you Iggy?" She faced me.

I definitely did not stare at her for more than a couple of seconds, thinking about the proposal I had to say at some point during this interaction.

" Uh...Oh! Right, I am super good! How about yourself?" I asked, heroically nervous.

" I'm doing good! We were just talking about how different this planet is from ours, Avalice." She said, taking a bite of her toasted sandwich.

" Yeah, there is a heck of a lot more water than there was on our world!" Carol exclaimed.

" How do you guys get around for jobs?" Milla asked.

" Well, it ain't easy. Most folks have to get up really early if they are travelling by boat to get somewhere else. As for me, I obviously don't have as much of an issue with it. I can just go wherever I want, whenever I want!" I said proudly, I was glad to talk about myself. Lilac looked at me. For a second I might've thought I had said something wrong, even though that barely ever happens. Luckily, she smiled and returned to her food.

" Of course, you are the saviour of this world aren't you?" I felt a burst of pleasure on the inside, she was complimenting me!

" YES! I did save this world! That is why I can do whatever! Nothing can be a challenge too great!" I looked at Raz and Alex. Alex simply smirked and Raz looked irritated.

" With the help of my trusty friends of course. Would not have been possible without them." I quickly added. Raz seemed more satisfied.

Carol drank from her glass of apple juice.

" Ok, so you did save the world. Man, you seem very into yourself. The opposite of Lilac."
" What does that mean?" Lilac demanded.

" As in you never take credit for saving Avalice." Carol told her.

" So? I just don't wanna be all ego about myself that's all!" Lilac said defensively.

" Woah! Guys chill. It doesn't matter who acts in what way!" I looked at Lilac.

" Especially not when the person in question is so great." I muttered dreamily.

" WHAT?" Raz asked playfully. I shot up in my seat, fully aware.

" N-nothing! I said nothing!" I said loudly. " What I meant was, you were talking about the landscape? Speaking of that, Lilac, there is...this one place I thought was pretty nice and I wanted to show you." I began to get anxiety again. I threatened it to go away or I would burn it.

Lilac faced me.

" What place?"

" In one of the snowy islands. You know the arctic tundra region? A certain cavern I had passed on my journeys. Would you like to see it with me?" The words came out of my mouth before I could stop them. Lilac considered for a moment, one of the longest in my life.

" Alright sure. When?" She asked. I did a mental sumersault of happiness.

" A-at about, 9:00pm? Is that ok?" I asked her.

" Oh jee, that's late. But I'm sure it would be fine." Lilac turned to her friends. " Do you guys wanna go?" If I'm gonna be honest with you, I did not want anyone else going. But I also didn't want to upset Lilac by being mean to her friends. So I waited in horror to hear the answers. Carol finished her food.

" Eh, I think I would rather sleep for some time. I've been exploring around, and I forgot how tiring it is." Carol said.

" I would, but Raz wanted to show me something I believe." Milla said, drinking orange juice. I faced Raz.

" Show her something?" I asked.

" Yup! She doesn't know about the pet store. I can't wait to see her face!" He said excitedly. I was pretty sure he meant the sub-animal pet store, and Milla probably wouldn't be affected. But I didn't say anything.

" Alright. So it would be just us then." I spoke out loud, to no one in particular.

" Yeah that's fine by me!" Lilac got up. " Thanks for the food Alex. Where should we meet at nine Iggy?"
" I can come by your house and escort you to the cavern." I offered.

" Ok, sure. See you then!" She waved goodbye. Carol and Milla said their goodbyes and followed her down the street and out of sight.

" So, it's been set. Are you ready?" Alex asked me, he held a small device in his hands.

" Of course I'm ready!" I said proudly. Then I sank into my seat, my anxiety getting the best of me. " Actually, I don't know if I can do this. What if I mess up this chance to win her?" I said sadly. Raz put his hand on my shoulder.

" Man, how many times are you gonna say those things? I'll say it again. You can do this! You aren't gonna mess up! Together we saved the world didn't we? So this will be fine!" He said enthusiastically.

Alex faced me.

" Exactly. And plus, you know she is into you! Why else would she accept so quickly? Trust me, if I tried that with Carol, it would've been a long time and she still would've said no! So you can do it." He smiled at me. I looked at my two good buddies. Their words giving me new found strength.

" Well, I'm sure Carol would also accept. But regardless, thank you! I feel better now!" I decided. " I'll go to her house and show her the ice show! Also, what is this for?" I pointed at the device.

" Oh! That will activate the show once you are in proximity to the room. Basically, once the two of you are inside, simply press the top red button and it will play the whole thing!" Alex explained. I looked at the little grey rectangle in my hand. This small contraption would either make this night amazing, or fail and make me look like an idiot. But I trusted that Alex's stuff would work, I had seen it for myself after all.

" Ok I got it. Thank you so much." I got up out of my seat. " This has been fun, but I should get home and prepare for this thing to happen. Come on Raz." We left the Starbucks and ran back home. Normally I liked to explore around the islands for the afternoon, but today I had to ready myself. This was important.

It was 8:30pm when I had put on my best suit, a piece colored in black and grey, with a red tie, and the top of my red head combed back to look more attractive. If that was even possible to look better than I already did, but I digress. Raz checked me out.

" Hmm. You have a sub-spider on your shoulder." He said.

" What!? Where!?" I checked my shoulders frantically. There was nothing on either of them.

" Pfft, haha! I was kidding. You look very snazzy!" Raz complimented. Normally I thought this was an obvious thing to say, but tonight I was a little worried about my appearance.

" You're sure about that?" I asked.

" Yes of course!" Raz pushed me out the door. " Now go! It's getting late! You don't want to keep your girl waiting do you?" I did not want that. I zoomed off, down into the city where Lilac and her friends had rented a home to stay in. It was darker out now, the stars were beginning to show up.

I knocked on Lilac's door, my heart beating nervously. The door opened, and I almost lost my breath. Now, you might be thinking she was in some 'sexy' dress or something right? Nope, not at all. This was a smart dragon girl. Lilac wore a heavy blue snow jacket, a pair of earmuffs and a blue beanie over her head. Not sure about you, but to me, she was the cutest thing I had ever seen. I could only imagine being that jacket! Wrapped around her so tight as to keep her warm!

" H-hello Lilac! How are you tonight?" I asked, trying to stay calm mentally.

" I'm fine! As you can see I have prepared for our little trip. I was ok with colds back on Avalice, but here it seems they are much worse." Lilac told me.

" Ah, well that ain't a problem at all! I think you look just as great as ever!" I said, immediately fearing the results. Lilac seemed to go red in the face, she turned away.

" Oh, t-thank you! You look nice yourself!" She began to walk down the steps to the street. " So where is this place?" Lilac asked. I hopped down and joined her.

" It isn't that far. We'll have to take the boat. But worry not cause I can drive us there! Let's go!" I ran off, Lilac close behind. Perhaps this would turn out well after all.

Getting to the cavern entrance I encountered no issues. Lilac did seem cold during the trec there, but with my handy fire powers I kept her warm. It is what a hero does. Once we got to the archway, I checked for more bats. None. Good.

" Alright, let us move inside and-" Before I could finish a pack of wolves came out of the cavern. There was at least twelve of them. Large, white wolves. Their eyes glowing malicious red, their teeth dripping crimson. They eyed us hungrily.

" Woah, what are they doing?" Lilac asked me. I watched the beasts, they circled us slowly, not daring to take their eyes off of us. If we wanted to enter the cave, we would need to battle our way in.

I sighed. " Ok. Well, they aren't gonna let us pass." I lit my hands on fire. " So we need to force passage."

" Wait! You aren't saying we have to fight them?" Lilac asked nervously.

" I am saying that."

" I don't want to hurt them!"

" Lilac, look. These are wild sub-animals. It's either kill or be killed out here. That is the law of the outside undomesticated world. I would rather not also. But there simply is no other way." The last thing I wanted was to make her do something she didn't wish to do. But at the moment it was kinda necessary. Lilac took a deep breath.

" Alright fine. Let's make this quick." She spread her hands and feet, getting into battle position. That was one of the many things I liked about her. She was always prepared to do the right thing. Even if it meant doing something she did not like. A fellow hero like me could respect that.

The wolves charged at us in groups. They had split evenly, six on me and six on Lilac. The first came at me. I punched it in the side of its face. It fell to the side, its head on fire. I jumped around the second wolf, grabbing it and throwing it into the first. They both rolled around in the snow. I blasted them with flames. Despite the cold floor, the poor animals melted to ashes. The next two ran at me. I torched one in the face and managed to jump on top of the other. I took hold of its ears, increasing the fire around my hands, cooking the beast's ears and head. Once those fell dead, the final two charged me. I got ready, I released one final flame blast. I intended to get both in one shot. I hit one, but the other was swift. It side hopped out of the danger zone, quickly running around me. Before I could react, it leaped and bit my arm. I screamed and tried to shake off the wolf. I couldn't summon fire that easily with so much pain in my arm. Luckily, Lilac saved me. She dragon boosted into the wolf. Sending it careening into the snow hard. She jumped up, twirling around in the air. She came back down with a lot of force, smacking the animal with her dragon tendril. The wolf was left with a nasty cut across its belly, and died.

I turned around, the other six wolves had been taken out. Their bodies lying about the snowy ground.

" Wow. Great job Lilac!" I said happily.

" Yeah, well. I wish we didn't have to hurt them. They just wanted to survive." Lilac said softly. I walked over to her.

" Hey. Think about it this way: They wanted to live, but so did we. If we hadn't of foughten back, we would be the ones lying on the ground dead. I almost was beaten. But thankfully you were here to save me. I'm grateful you are here with me!" I smiled, though with my bleeding arm it was hard. Lilac blushed and looked down, noticing my arm.

" Oh god. Iggy! You need help!" She said in alarm.

" Oh no! No no! I'm fine! We can heal this later I promise!" I said quickly. I really did not feel like going all the way back after this. My arm didn't hurt that much anyway.

Lilac stared at me, frowning.

" Are you sure? It looks real bad."

" yes I am so sure! You know how sometimes the blood makes the wound look worse than it actually is? That is this moment. Trust me I know. I have a friend who is good with medical things." That was true. As for whether it applied to my arm at the moment, I couldn't be one hundred percent. But I refused to let this night be ended so abruptly, by a pack of sub-animals. " Let us go inside this cave so I may show you the thing that is so special." I told Lilac.

" Well, alright. But if it hurts more we are heading back." She walked inside.

" Right, well it should be fine." I followed. Hoping to heaven that my arm would stay not in pain, for the rest of the night at least.

The two of us wandered the icy cavern. The walls dark with the night. I lead Lilac to the room me and my friends had located the day before. I could feel my heart pounding. This was it, once we arrived at the domed room, and I turned on the switch in my pocket, it would be game time. Hopefully I became the winner.

" Ah, here it is." I said as we came to the room in question. The background lights were shut off, so right now it didn't seem like anything special. Me and Lilac stepped in.

" What about this room?" She asked. " I'm failing to see the uniqueness of it." I took out the device, and with a shaking hand, held it behind me ready.

" Oh me and my friends discovered something interesting about this particular place. True it doesn't seem like much at first. But watch this." I held my breath for a quick second, then pressed the button.

Instantly the lights turned on. Every color you could imagine, all in multiple different shapes and sizes. They swarmed in from the outer reaches of the dome. Some came together, forming new polygons, characters even. Other just continued to move around on their own, in patterns that emphasized the scenes that were being depicted. I'll admit, what was being shown surprised me also. It was things I hadn't seen before. They were images of me, in all my heroic glory, saving the world, stopping Herfferion, the evil bird who threatened to enslave our world. Then they showed a visual of the stories Lilac would tell us of her adventures on Avalice. It was of her, Carol, Milla and some white panda knight I didn't know of. They were running throughout their world, saving people and stopping the threats. We saw Lilac defeat a big green warlord, inside of a runaway spaceship. Her and her friends ending the reign of some sort of other water dragon, dressed in purple, a malicious look on her face. Avalice was set to blow just before the evil dragon could die, resulting in large ships leaving the planet and heading to Eurashia. Then, it showed clips of me, and the dreams I had had of Lilac. Luckily Alex had only implemented the ones that weren't naughty. They showed what I thought of her, flashing all around us. I decided it was time to take up my part. If I wanted to make this impression last, I would have to say how I felt, myself.

I took Lilac's hand. She turned to look at me, her eyes glowing in amazement. I mustered up all my courage and spoke.

" You were wondering what was so special about this place huh? Now you see. I built this for a specific reason, no, a specific person. Somebody I felt like I had an obligation to make this for. Some person who has changed my life." I took both of her hands and held them in mine, Lilac let me. " You, my dear, fabulous Lilac, are the rhythms in my heart. The one I never stop thinking about, not even for a second! My friends are one thing, I will always be glad they are with me. But you, you?" I laughed. " Lilac, are an entirely different thing. One more thing I am most definitely glad to have at my side!" I smiled, pouring everything I had into this speech. Lilac stared at me, her mouth open, total shock in her eyes. The colors overhead changed. They started to form images of me and Lilac together, happy, going on adventures. I wanted those to be real, so I had to make tonight as good as I could.

" Iggy… you, I-" Lilac began to say. I put my hand on her cheek. Her dragon skin was smooth, like silk.

" You've made me happy and I feel at peace in ways I didn't think possible for me. Being the hero of a planet is hard, as you know. It can be a challenge to find things that can truly make you happy. That was until you came along and showed me that true sparks could fly!" I gestured toward the dome. The patterns now formed red hearts, they all swirled around each other. They combined into one big heart, electricity arced around it as it beat. " My electric heart is open to you, Sash Lilac. I always had this feeling, ever since I met you. A feeling that there might be something special about you. The more time we spent together, those moments being some of the best in my life, the more that feeling grew. Until I realized, I was in love with you. I'm not the kind of person to be all lovey-dovey with people. But you? My god you certainly are that person for me. That night on the hill a few days ago, I saw how you enjoyed the peaceful starry night. Your eyes sparkled, your dragon tendrils swaying in the soft breeze. I knew then that I was locked onto you, a feeling I wouldn't get out of. But I do not want to get out of it. I love you, Lilac. So I put together this little show. As beautiful as this is, it doesn't even compare to the insanely happy thoughts I have when I think about you."

I turned her back to face me, now her face was a mixture of shock, amazement, and happiness. This fueled with excitement, I kept going.

" If I am ever having a bad day, for whatever reason. I just think of you. You're perfect smile, your caring for others. The time we spent hiking, the heroic nature you have, the curiosity for adventure. They intrigue me, and make me happy. I can just think of you, or better yet, be with you, to put me in a good mood. Oh good Lilac, is there anything circumstance in which you couldn't me make me a better man? I think not. I, Ignatious the cat, the saviour of Eurashia, hereby state once and for all: I love you Sash Lilac!" My heart was pounding hard. I was nervous. Would she reject me now? Would she simply scoff at my pathetic love words and walk away? Call me cringey? I tried to stay strong. Lilac closed her mouth, and looked at the ground. The patterns on the dome were repeating what they had already done, now more focus on the hearts. Lilac looked back up at me, her faced determined.

" Iggy, I don't even know what to say. This, all of this. AMAZING! I, too, had no prior experience with love. People like to joke and ship with me with random people since I'm the hero. Because of that I had trained myself to ignore them when someone said they liked me. I had always thought it was a joke or crude fiction. Once I was forced to come here, I met you. You changed my life Iggy. I spent time with you, hanging out. There was for once no danger. I could talk to you, about anything, and you wouldn't judge me. We went hiking that one time, and it was incredible. Together we went on for miles! It was so fun! I actually felt like a kid again! With no worries, just you and me! You, with your crazy cool fire powers and your own knack for adventure! The way you melted those wolves outside was insane! I haven't seen anything like that before! I, myself, haven't had the opportunity to truly relax for this long. My friends are one thing." She took hold of my shoulders. " Ignatious is the thing that keeps me happy! My electric heart will always be with you too Iggy!" She leaned in quick and kissed me.

I was too stunned to say anything. Lilac pulled away.

" I had been having feelings too. It took sometime to realize I honestly had feelings for you. I didn't know what to do at first. But this, this shows how much you care. I literally cannot thank you enough for this. So I will return that vow. I give you, Ignatious the cat, my love, now and forever! I am ready to be by your side forever, till the ends of this planet and every planet in the galaxy!" Lilac kissed me again. The hearts on the ceiling formed into a big, electric heart again. It hovered over us, making the two of us the only glowing, most important thing in the whole icy planes. I went out of shock. I kissed Lilac back and embraced her. I gently pushed her down to the wall, where we continued to make out for the next few hours.

That, my friend, was the best day of my entire life. Before you say it, NO. We did not do anything weird! Sure, we did get a little hot with the making out. But hey, fire is my element, what can I say? At some point, Lilac must have gotten sleepy. Because she fell asleep across my lap. I simply stayed seated, stroking her beautiful hair. She looked so cute while fast asleep! We were there for a good while. By the time we exited the cavern, it was early daylight.

" You know Lilac." I said. " This sunset is pretty dang gorgeous. But I think you are heck of a lot more beautiful. If I could make that sun your face, it might be somewhat close to you." I gave her my heroic smile. Lilac turned to me, her face entirely red. But she was smiling.

" Aww Iggy! I am the happiest person in the world right now. You truly are a hero!" We headed back home. To a new life, one with the two of us together.
