A/N:
Well, here it is, my first One-shot going up on the site. Now be courteous about it plox, because if you didn't already figure, this is my first original fanfic, so I do appreciate feedback and constructive criticism. Anyways, this is just a one-shot of what I think the night before the WRGP finals with Luciano, Jose, and Placido, and how Yusei dealt with his probable fears. None the less, here it is, I hope you guys enjoy, and please R&R.
Yusei's Personal Hell
All I could do was sit there and watch them all fall down; one by one my comrades, my friends, my family crumbled beneath their grip. Yliaster. Those bastards have already altered the present with such a malevolent, mighty force; We couldn't just let them rule our futures as well. But what if we won't have a choice? What if they're just better than us this time? It means that we lost, Game over. What if they're power is just too great to succumb to? All of us, they could end it all in one day. They could change the course of our futures forever.
Yusei's Dream:
"Your bonds were weak and your foolishness intact. You thought you could drive the future back on the true path? That's just a pathetic idea. Now that you're down, it's time for us to end our final plan and the lives of this city." Says Jose
Then Crow, the twins, Jack, Aki, and our entire family we've come to know would be put to death by the meklords. We would lose our lives in the pursuit to regain our lost futures.
Just then, I was conscious again. I didn't realized I had fallen asleep. But to make sure, I stepped outside to see that the dream hadn't become a reality. Luckily it hadn't, but as I stepped outside of my room, I heard a voice. It was my father.
"Have another nightmare, Yusei?"
"I just don't know what to do, father!"
"All you can do is what you think is right, and nothing more. You're an intelligent young man now; you can do this."
"That's just it! I still doubt myself."
"You have all your friends support, this entire city is behind you, and if you can't do it alone, than the bonds you share with your friends will give you the strength to end this."
I peered straight into his eyes.
"You're right. I've doubted it for a while now, but we can do this. As long as we are bonded nothing can break us apart. We are going to end this!"
"Now, go get some sleep, tomorrow's a big day!"
As I was turning around, I just non nonchalantly said
"Father; Thank You."
"Your welcome, and just remember, you- no, we can do this."
With my new found inspiration intact I walked back inside to see I had woken up my knuckle headed roommates.
"What's all this commotion in here?" asked Crow.
"Nothing, just went out to get some fresh air" I said.
"Well, I guess means that you can't sleep either. I'll try again in about 10 minutes." said Jack.
As I went to move back to my room, I asked
"Hey Jack, Crow?"
"What is it?" They both tiredly replied.
"We can do this, just keep that in mind."
"Alright, thanks." They mumbled.
As soon as I got back to my room, they started arguing over something about tomorrow.
Yeah, those two would be dead without me.
I quietly thanked my father one last time before I rested peacefully for the first time in a month.
A/N: Well, how was it? And yes, for anyone thinking so, it was a pretty short story for a one shot, so I apologize for that in advance. I think it turned out decently, as this idea just kind of came to me as I haven't been sleeping too well myself in the past few days, since schoolwork has been digging my own grave. Thanks for reading, and if you liked this, then check my profile in a day or two where I should be updating for my plans for October. Peace out mah bros. (:
