"Siha, what is this?"

"What do you mean? It's a box of chocolates."

"Chocolates?"

I smiled, and gently pulled the red ribbon, opening the rectangular-shaped box of the same color revealing its contents, small heart-shaped chocolate pieces. Randomly I picked one, and got up, leaning over the table the give in the chocolate.

"Try it, I know you'll like it."

He didn't reject my offer, he opened his mouth letting this foreign food in. I observed his expression with delight, while he tasted the piece of chocolate, starting with the curiosity look and finishing with the this-stuff-is-the-most-amazing-thing-I-have-ever-tasted look. At least, that's what it looked like.

"It's delicious." - he said with a smile - "The filling was strange, what was it?"

"Liqueur!" - I informed him while I smiled and sat again - "Happy Valentine's Day, Thane!"

He looked puzzled after I said that. After placing his hands on the table, I had the slight feeling that he was about to ask me something, but Kelly's voice sounded through the intercom before he could say anything.

"Commander, Joker is requesting your presence at the bridge."

I sighed, and told her I was on my way. I got up and kissed Thane before saying goodbye and leaving the Life Support room.

Walked to the elevator, and after I got out on the Combat Information Center Floor, walked some more until I reached Joker. And he was silent, which was surprising.

The talk with Joker took longer than I expected, beginning with the question from who were mysterious chocolates he had near him, finishing with the talk about the good old days. Again.

I made my way through the elevator again, this time to my quarters. Opened the door, and switched on the lights.

"Siha..."

"AH." - I screamed, while I jumped with the scare - "Thane?"

My eyes fell on him, and they were marveled by the sight of his bare chest, although he was still covered with his trousers.

My lips formed a smile, while I walked towards him.

"What do we have here?" - I asked, putting my arms around his neck.

"Miss Chambers explained me the meaning of this holiday." - he answered, revolving his arms around my waist, pulling me closer to him.

"Oh, she did? And what did she say to you?"

"Not much." - he placed a kiss on my forehead - "But I find it quite pointless, if two people love each other they don't need this day."

"Thane..."- I gently took off his arms from my waist, and pushed him to the bed - "Then what were you doing, half-naked, with the lights off, on my quarters?"

"Well..." - he looked a slightly embarrassed - "Miss Chambers told me to say something."

"What did she say?" - I asked, placing both my hands on my waist.

"Siha, will you be my Valentine?"

I could feel my cheeks burning at that point.

"Yes!"

Smiling, I threw myself on top of him, kissing him passionately on the lips, while we both surrendered to our passion during the next hours.
