She looked at the little tiny snowflake he once had given her from while he was at the North Pole. It was one of the sweetest things she had ever received from him. There were so many things that he had given her, done for her, said to her over the years that she sometimes felt he was too good for her. That she would never be good enough for him.
But she knew that like the snowflake that would last forever so would their love. The wedding was just a week away and she couldn't wait to be Mrs. Hofstadter. She had yet to write her vows, as she had been unsure what to say. But now looking over her box of keep sakes of things that reminded her of him, the words came to her. She took out a piece of paper and a pen.
Leonard,
As you know I'm not a romantic by nature as you are. But I hope that these words can make up for all I don't do. Leonard, you have been there from the beginning. From the moment I met you there was nothing you wouldn't do to make me happy, no matter what you went through to do it. And though I feel at times I took advantage of your friendship, you never said you felt I did. You have always been supportive of me and loved me from the get go.
And while there were moments I was unsure of us, you never were. You always knew this day would come. Now here it is and I'm so lucky and incredibly happy to be standing here with you. I can't fully express my feelings right now. But I can promise you this. Every day for the rest of my life I know that I'm the lucky one. You are the best thing that has ever happened to me. You are the greatest part of my life. I love you more today that I did yesterday, but not as much as I will tomorrow. I promise to love you always. To honor you always. To respect you always. To be with forever.
Penny looked down at what she wrote. Though she knew it wasn't the best and wasn't as good as Leonard's would be, she thought that Leonard would appreciate her effort and words she managed to put down and she was happy with that.
