This was probably the hardest decision of her life.
She was shaking like a jelly by this point. The choices that lay in front of her were too hard.
'Too hard indeed.' Her mind whispered to her in that same taunting way that was aggravating her for every second that passed.
"Come on Ruby, you can do it!" Her partner, Weiss Schnee, cheered her on.
Ruby found slight comfort in knowing her partner was backing her up, but it still wasn't enough for her to make up her mind.
"Go Ruby!" Came the cheer of her teammate, Blake Belladonna ,who was holding a flag with their team name in it. "Fight on!"
Ruby smiled at that. Blake's support was enough to make her stop shaking like a damn gelatin.
"You got this, sis!" The ever confident voice of her sister, Yang Xiao Long, supported from just behind her.
She looked back to them. Her team really did supported her throughout her decisions.
A quick glance to her left showed their sister team, JNPR, also cheering her own.
"Go Ruby! We know you can do this." The blonde leader, Jaune Arc, raised a fist in the air.
"GO RUBY!" Came the cheer of the other 3 members of JNPR.
It was heartwarming to see such a sight.
Her friends cheered her on.
Her teammates cheered her on.
Weiss cheered her on.
Even the other teams: SSSN and CFVY were present to show their support.
To their right, she could see the four maidens facing her with encouraging smiles as they beckoned her to continue.
'Okay, okay, I can do this.' Ruby chanted to herself as she slowly began to approach the center.
"Hey, sweetie," Her mom, Summer Rose said. Her words encouraging as she handed the two objects to her own daughter. "are you ready?" She asked of her.
Ruby knew she wasn't ready to face such a trial alone. She may never will be ready.
But with everyone's support? She knew that she could surpass any obstacle.
And so, she faced her own mother as she spoke. "No mom, I don't think I'm ready, but I know with Weiss' encouraging words and Blake's silent support. Not to mention Yang's sisterly love for me along with everybody else who showed up for tonight I know that I can do this and anything else as long as I have them in my heart."
Her words caused her own mother to enter a state of shock. Summer quickly recoiled from her shock and nodded.
"I know you can do this." She gave Ruby a solemn hug and a motherly kiss on the forehead. "Go forth my little Rose."
Ruby nodded as she accepted the holy objects with her own hand.
The decision still weighed on her mind. The future of Remnant was placed on her. If she were to mess this up then they would all be doomed to the Grimm.
Hesitantly, she eyed the artifacts that would change their future for good or for worse.
She knew how they work. How they could alter the world to the person who wielded it.
But she, Ruby Rose, kickass star of Beacon academy, was left with the most challenging challenge of all challenges that even she didn't know the answer.
To eat the cookie then drink the milk.

To drink the milk then eat the cookie.
