AN: I can't tell you how bad I feel! not doing ANYTHING in FOREVER.... but here's a TWILIGHT fic for you guys, anyway. It's my first, and I was originally planning for it to have much more, with scenes with Alice&Jasper, Rosalie&Emmett, and Carlisle&Esme, but I don't have a muse anymore...

I don't know, I guess I just lost my inspiration. All that's been spewing out lately are random bits of stories for fictionpress or poems about all my angsting over this guy.

Not only that, but my old laptop, the one with all my writing, well...my dad went and got it fixed, but they had to backup my hard drive, and my dad lost it, so all my files are gone.

Her fingers slid down his cheek, creating a very minute grating sound against his marble skin. Gingerly, his own traced the contours of her face. Every movement left a tingling sensation that sent her brain buzzing.

"I love you," he perfectly said, sighing contentedly and leaving two kisses on her eyelids. Her heart pounded thoughtfully in her chest, even still speeding up a bit as her breath caught in her throat.

What could she do to ever deserve such a wonderful, wonderful creature? She smiled quietly to herself. Brushing away a few stray hairs falling into his eyes, she replied, very predictably, "I love you, too. I can never tell you how much I love you."

Hardly bearing to do so, she tore her gaze from his flawless face to stare out her window with interest. A few small fireworks lit up the night sky dotted with faded white stars, a fog settling over them like a sheet of rice paper. The light crack of the bright colors going off sounded.

He listened to something she could not hear, lifted the corners of his mouth, and locked her soft gaze in his, still serving to rush her breathing even after all this time. The raise of her eyebrows made her question pellucid.

His scent overloaded her senses, her own personal light show appearing before her eyes as he tilted her head closer to whisper in her ear. (It was still sometimes unnerving, thinking that maybe someday he would not have to lean closer for her to hear his whispered words.) The cool, sweet breath she had come to associate with him swept over her neck and ear as he said, "5, 4, 3, 2, 1. Happy New Year, my Bella."

Cheering was heard off in the distance, but she was too preoccupied to notice.
