*Ron's P.O.V*
Once again a brand new boring year at the school of magic called Hogwarts. Thank Merlin for good old British weather don't get me wrong Egypt was nice but it was too hot for me, poor Scabber's lost nearly half of his fur in that heat! I hope that the greasy git Snape gets the defence against the dark art's job, really that job is cursed no teacher for more than a year; if Snape has the job he'd finally be gone. At least Harry and Hermione are with me, school's never boring with them. As we entered the carriage we saw the other passenger asleep in the corner, lucky bugger I can never get to sleep on trains there's too much motion. My curiosity got the better of me.
"Who is he?" I asked staring at the old man.
"Professor R.J Lupin, the new defence against the dark arts teacher at Hogwarts." Answered a new voice too soft to be Hermione's so I looked at the door and saw, forgive me for the ever used corny line, an angel. I couldn't hear anyone talking because the world grew distant as I gazed at the beauty that had entered the carriage. Was it her fiery red hair; her glistening emerald eyes with the palest yet creamiest coloured skin that drew my attention. Was she a Veela?
*Layla's P.O.V*
The red hair one asked on how I knew that Remus is the new teacher at Hogwarts.
"Because he's my dad, not actual dad though but I still call him dad. I grew up with him since both of my parents died when I was young." I sat down next to the girl on the right and began to introduce myself. "I'm Layla, Layla Lupin. Who are you?"
"I'm Hermione Granger, the boy with the glasses is Harry Potter and the boy with red hair is Ronald Weasley." Both of the boys mentioned waved to me and smiled, though the one called Ron seemed to be dazed in some way.
"So what house are you in if you don't mind me asking?" I wondered because don't get me wrong but they seemed to be a mismatched sort of friends so I assumed they were in different houses. Ron replied for all of them.
"We're all are in Gryffindor." Suddenly the train stopped nowhere near Hogwarts with the lights flickering. *Crap!! Ok, ok just remember what Dad said, breath deep and relax. I hate the dark, ever since Dad took me to see uncle Sirius at Azkaban, the dark just scared me shitless. The windows started to ice up as a billowing twilight cloak eerily open up our carriage revealing its morbid looking claw of a hand. Another followed it as the first one went towards Harry leaving the second one coming towards me.
*HARRY, LAYLA!!*
Pain erupted from my scar, white spots clouded my vision as the Dementor continued to feed on my bad memories. Suddenly the Dementors fled followed by an ethereal white wolf. Unable to stay awake I allowed the twilight blanket to fog my senses and retreat into the safety of unconsciousness.
