TAKE A MESSAGE
"Listen Ziva. This is very important," Tony spoke succinctly into the phone.
"What is it Tony? Everything to you is VERY important," Ziva rolled her eyes holding the phone between her shoulder and her cheek as she played with her knife.
"Just write this down. Okay?" Tony asked imagining her sitting at her desk wiling away the time while he was out gathering evidence. "Tell Tim that I got two witnesses to tell all about the Tomas' case. They are staying at the townhouse in Toranado until Tuesday, so he needs to get there today to take their statements. Got it? I've got to catch my flight back. Thanks Ziva," Tony smiled hoping she got everything.
"Yes, I have got it Tony. No worries. Yes? Have a safe trip," she wished him.
"I knew I cold count on you. Gotta run," he said before rushing off to his plane's gate.
Palmer was walking through the bullpen when Ziva stopped him. "Jimmy I need you to get a message to McGee from Tony."
"Sure Ziva. What is it?" Jimmy, always eager to help the team, asked.
"Tony said that there are twin nests total on the Thomas' case. They are staining the town housing a tornado until Tuesday. Tim needs to gather today to take their stalemates," Ziva told him carefully.
"Are you sure that's the message?" Jimmy asked confused.
"Of course I am sure. Why do you ask?" she asked defensively.
"Well… it doesn't make any sense," Jim scratched his head hoping she would agree.
"That is Tony," was her only reply as she shrugged and left the bullpen.
"Oh, Tim," Jimmy stopped the young agent before he got in the elevator. "I've got an important message from Tony."
"I just bet," Tim smirked, but seeing the serious look on Jimmy's face asked more seriously, "What is it?"
"As I recall, Ziva told me that Tony said there are twins stolen in the Thomas' case. They restrain the down house in Torray, down hill to stay. You need to gas there today to take their stay inmates."
"You don't look so sure that was the message Palmer," Tim shook his head trying to decipher any part of that that could make sense.
"Well I remember it didn't make a lot of sense when Ziva told me," Jimmy shrugged.
"Alright, I guess I'll have to figure it out on my own," Tim frowned.
"Figure what out McGee?" Gibbs asked strolling past the two confused men.
"Tony's message. It must be some kind of code, because it doesn't make any sense," Tim explained as Jimmy excused himself to return to autopsy.
"Tell me the message. I did a lot of coding work undercover, as well as in the Corps," Gibbs stood straighter waiting to hear what Tim had to share.
"Okay," Tim shrugged a shoulder, what could it hurt. "Apparently Tony said there are twins tolling the Thomas' case. They're strained on Houston ornate will to stained to gather today to take the stain maids."
"That's simple," Gibbs smirked.
"Simple?" Tim looked even more confused because he didn't understand a word he just uttered.
"Sure. You need to get to the town house in Toranado to get statements from two witnesses staying there until Tuesday to solve the Thomas' case," Gibbs patted Tim's shoulder.
"How do you know that? You couldn't possible have figured all that from that gibberish," Tim stood stunned.
Gibbs tilted his head, "I know my agents." He chuckled and turned to go to his desk leaving Tim standing shaking his head. "Well, get moving," Gibbs ordered as he sat his desk watching Tim go into the waiting elevator. He wondered if his agents would ever really learn to listen to one another.
