Well it's been awhile since i've actually wrote anything new so if I'm rusty I apologize sincerely. Um I think this is mostly just pointless drabble...

Disclaimer: My name is not Masashi Kishimoto therefore, I think it is safe to say I do not own Naruto.

Thoughts At Night

Sakura Haruno, the beautiful pink hair and green eyed kunoichi, sighed as looked at the sleeping males she called both her team mates and friends. Kakashi was sleeping against a tree with his Icha Icha Paradise book open in his lap, Naruto was on his side talking in his sleep about ramen, and Sasuke (who had just returned to the village last year) was on his back as snores fell from his lips (at this Sakura couldn't help but smirk because the Uchiha Sasuke was snoring).

Sakura took one last glance at the men, shook her head, then turned her gaze to the sky. It was a cool night, the moon was full, and the sounds of owls and crickets filled the air with their soft lullaby that could put anyone to sleep. Sakura smiled softly and closed her eyes letting the soft, pale glow from the moon wash over her face as she breathed in the fresh air. It may have seemed stupid to anyone else, but the night brought comfort to the young girl. It had been this way for her ever since Sasuke had betrayed the village, betrayed them. The night had made her feel connected to the young avenger because although he was far, far away she knew that as she looked up at the sky, Sasuke was looking at the same sky as well.

Sasuke... After he left, the team felt like it was missing something - missing him- and it just hadn't been the same. Kakashi, Naruto, and Sakura herself had tried so hard to bring him back home and after awhile it seemed like he would never come to them... The scars the avenger had left on all of their hearts still seemed fresh (at least they still felt fresh to her).

Suddenly a particulary loud, deep snore pulled her from her depressing thoughts and as she turned to look at all three men again she let a warm smile creep across her face.

And as Sakura laid down on the soft grass, closed her eyes, and let their breathing lull her into a dreamless sleep it suddenly didn't matter anymore. Sasuke was there now and the past,Sakura decided, was exactly that: the past. As Sakura felt warmth spread through her heart and sleep take over, it almost felt like Sasuke had never left at all.
