"We need to talk," Tori said to Jade.

"Do we now? Why?"

"Listen for some reason you don't like me very much"

"What keen sense of observation you have," Jade remarked.

"I don't understand why that is however"

"Of course you don't"

"Can you give me a clue? Is it an animal, mineral or vegetable?"

"NOT FUNNY VEGA!"

"I think I'm pretty funny"

"And Trina thinks she can sing"

"Listen we need to resolve this. I want to know why it is that you don't like me"

"I can't believe that you don't know," Jade exclaimed.

"Um… yeah I really don't know"

"Exactly"

"Now I'm confused"

"Of course you are"

"Jade come on. I want for us to be friends"

"Yeah… that'll happen"

"You have to at least tell me what I did?"

"Actually I don't," Jade said, "You know what you did"

"If I knew what I did I wouldn't be asking what I did now would I?"

"You really don't know what you did?"

"No. I really have no idea what I did"

"Let me refer you to your second day at Hollywood Arts," Jade snapped.

Tori just stared blankly.

"Yeah?"

"The fact is Vega you kissed Beck on your 2nd day at Hollywood Arts!"

"I guess I should have waited," Tori joked earning herself a furious look from Jade.

"Thanks to you I end up in a lower status then I was-"

"I think that may have something to do with you pouring hot coffee on my head," Tori suggested

"VEGA!"

"You're back to the status you were at before so why does it matter," Tori asked.

"YOU KISSED BECK ON THE SECOND DAY OF HOLLYWOOD ARTS!"

"Not exactly," Tori said.

"WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU GOING ON ABOUT," Jade snapped.

"It was a stage kiss. A stage kiss is the type of kiss that seems real but isn't"

"I KNOW what a stage kiss is Vega," Jade snapped, "so why didn't you tell me the truth sooner."

"Honestly?"

"No! Lie—of course be honest," Jade snapped.

"I thought that you deserved some type of… consequence for pouring hot coffee over my head," Tori admitted, "I never realized how much it would upset you"

"Well it did," Jade said angrily blinking the tears from her eyes, "I lost my parents and older sister in a fire so I'm alone now. Beck is the only thing I have that is steady in my life and he's the only one that loves me for me"

"That's not true," Sinjin said coming up behind them.

Jade rubbed her head. She was getting a headache.

"Anyway-" she said

"Didn't you hear me," Sinjin asked.

"I heard you," Jade said.

"Sinjin has a point," Tori told Jade, "Beck's not the only one who loves you for you."

"Look VEGA," Jade said, "You may live in nice, nice land but here in the real world people don't always bounce back so quickly. You've been against me for months. Why do you even care now?"

"I was never against you. I thought I was doing what was right"

"Again," Jade said, "I don't live in nice, nice land"

"You think I never go through tough times? I have gone through more tough times then you can possibly imagine"

"Yes but you bounce back and quickly," Jade explained

"Somehow," Tori said, "I would like to make it up to you. I don't know how I'm going to do that but I'm going to do it. I guess I never saw things from your eyes before because there's so much I didn't know about you. It may not be today. It may not be tomorrow. It may not even be next week but one day you and I are going to be friends. I will make that happen!"

"Good luck with that VEGA," Jade said and walked away. But she felt different. Tori had extended the olive branch and she felt like maybe one day that would become friends. It would take a hell of a lot of work on Tori's part to make it up to Jade but Jade would at least give her a chance. It was only fair after all.
