Maybe it was the moment they bonded over Mindy's poor luck in going back to the Landing Strip. Or maybe it was how Becky had started making dinner every night – it was meatloaf and green beans last night – without ever being asked. Mindy didn't know when Becky stopped being a threat in daisy dukes, and started being a part of her fucked up family.
The moment Becky stepped out of that truck, Mindy knew something was wrong. Her bitch of a step mom stood up just too slow to be sober, and had an angry air about her that she knew all too well from the Collette household. And then that son of a bitch tried to grab her. Mindy knew she had to step in to help this little girl.
And then they fought in the front yard. Billy was so confused, but then Becky stepped back in the house, with that dejected look on her face. Mindy knew there was only one thing to do.
