Or not to be
Chapter 1 – I see you
"Psst, Psst" A voice hissed softly.
I was dreaming. Clouds hung over my head in different shapes with the bright blue sky behind them. I was lying on my back in the tall, dark green grass.
What a cliché dream. I thought.
I lean upward to notice a figure standing over me. It was all blurry and was reaching out for me. I couldn't quite make out what or who it was.
I blink my eyes slightly, and then rub them, I was awake now.
The sky, clouds and grass were gone. They were replaced by white walls with a bookshelf rising at the far end. White bed sheets covered my waist down.
In the dream I had leaned up. That's actually what position I was in now. I knew where I was though, the place was too familiar.
Just to be sure, I looked to the side on the bed. As I thought, there was Magnus. His hair was a wreck but it hung down, instead of its crazed usual style. His face clear and smooth, no makeup on.
His yellow cat eyes blinked open as I looked at him. I fell back lightly into the space I was sleeping on. The pillows even smelled like him, I tried not to make a big deal out of it but my nose went wild with the smell of it.
I turn my head to face him. He, of course, was still looking at me. He brought his hand up and brushed it against my cheek, which filled with heat and turned red with blush.
"Morning, my shadow hunter" he spoke.
I turned away from the touch and looked up at the ceiling embarrassed. "Morning warlock"
His eyes wandered around my arms where permanent runes stay burned in my skin. Then in one fluid motion he got up and was standing up at the side of the bed. He had a pair of long rainbow jeans on.
"You were already awake?" I asked, pointing out the jeans.
He nodded casually. "I came back in here to wake you up. There's been a run in. Clary, I guess, got attacked by a couple of Dervak demons. They need my healing assistance." He put his hand out, blue flame light flickering between his fingers.
I turn to cheek a clock to see what time it was. The room was still dark enough to be early in dawn. But I just couldn't happen to find a clock anywhere in the room.
"It's 4:30 A.M." Magnus said.
I blinked and swung my legs around to the side of the bed and threw on my pants and a sweatshirt.
When I stood up and turned to head out. Magnus was already gone out of the room. I slipped through the door and shoved my feet into my shoes and walked out the door of Magnus' apartment, closing the door behind me.
Magnus was waiting for me on the steps. His hair still down, but he was wearing a long green coat that hung down to his knees. It was buttoned up as well. Probably because he didn't have a shirt on underneath that.
When I came up to him, he put his arm around my shoulders and we began to walk off toward the institute.
That's All I Can Think Of For now. XD
