Quinn Fabray was perfect, she was head Cheerio, president of the Celibacy Club, had football player as her boyfriend, and perfect looks to go with her long blonde hair. That was until, she got pregnant and lost her good looks, spot on the Cheerio's and her boyfriend, all because she slept with his best friend the one night she got drunk. She wanted to make things right with Finn, she wanted him back.

Hands touch, eyes meet

Sudden silence, sudden heat

Hearts leap in a giddy whirl

He could be that boy

But I'm not that girl:

Everytime that she saw him in the hallway, she tried to get his attention. She would wave or smile at him when she walked past him. She even tried to get him to talk to her, but he wouldn't. She thought that she still had a chance of getting him back, that was until she saw him one day walking down the hallway with his arm wrapped lovingly around Rachel Berry. Her face fell as she saw him drop a loving kiss on her lips before pulling her into his arms for a hug. She saw the way that they looked at each other in the halls as she passed them over the next few years. He never looked at her the way he looked at Rachel. He loved her, more than he ever loved her.

Don't dream too far

Don't lose sight of who you are

Don't remember that rush of joy

He could be that boy

I'm not that girl

She knew that she shouldn't hang on to the past but she couldn't help herself, Finn was the first boy that she loved and part of her will always love him. She knew for a long time that any dreams that she had of the two of them would never become reality but it really sank in, when she saw him and Rachel stand before the Rabbi on their wedding day, while she looked on with a smile plastered on her face.

Ev'ry so often we long to steal

To the land of what-might-have-been

But that doesn't soften the ache we feel

When reality sets back in

Every now and then she would glance over at Finn during the ceremony and she saw him flash his trademark lopsided grin at Rachel, it times like these when she thought of what might have been if it hadn't been for that one night. But when she snapped back out of her little fantasy and looked Finn and Rachel, she knew that she had to finally move on.

Blithe smile, lithe limb

She who's winsome, she wins him

Brown hair with a gentle curl

That's the girl he chose

And Heaven knows

I'm not that girl:

As the next few years went by she saw how in love Finn and Rachel were, how she fit into his arms perfectly, how they looked at each other, even when Rachel was heavily pregnant, he still looked at her the same way that he did when he was 16. She knew that he had made the right decision by breaking up with her and choosing Rachel, because they were perfect for each other, they were soulmates.

Don't wish, don't start

Wishing only wounds the heart

I wasn't born for the rose and the pearl

There's a girl I know

He loves her so

I'm not that girl

When she saw them around the area, walking and holding hands she smiled at them, she knew that Finn had made the right choice. Rachel was his soulmate and she wondered why she hadn't seen it many years earlier when she was still hung up on him. Up until his and Rachel's wedding day she was so caught up in her dream to get Finn back that it prevented her from moving on and realizing that she wasn't meant for him, Rachel was because Quinn was not that girl.
