Taking Chances Chapter 1
Emma was doing the dishes, as usual. She couldn't help to think about Jack, her baby brother. He was so cute and adorable that she wished she could have a baby of her own.
She really hated doing the dishes especially when she was home alone. She was washing a red mug, the one her mom gave her for Christmas. It had a reindeer with little antlers on it. After it was lathered up with soap, she ran the cool water over it. When the crisp, clean water ran over her fingers, she couldn't help but think about Jordan.
She regretted even e-mailing him so much. She felt so stupid when she came home from that hotel. She couldn't believe she made the worst mistake in the book.
As anger boiled through her, her hands started to shake. She couldn't control herself. Suddenly she heard a loud crash and noticed red glass was all over the floor. She turned around and grabbed the broom that was next to her.
When she started to sweep up the glass she heard a delicate knock on the door.
"Ugh!" Emma groaned as she stood up. She started walking towards the door. She heard another knock. She hastily yelled, "I'm coming!"
When she opened the door she saw a pregnant teenage girl with a dirty face.
"Um….How can I help you?" Emma asked.
