I ran. I ran and ran and ran. I couldn't and wouldn't stop. He was chasing me. Someone was screaming my name but I didn't slow down. Not for anything. Or anyone. I had hardly got away, before he started to yell at his guards to hunt me down. He wanted me back. But not because he cared for me. Oh no. He was using me. And I wasn't standing for it any longer. I need to get him back for what he did to me. I felt a stabbing pain in my arm and looked down to see that two large, deep knife cuts had re-opened. 'Damn!' I thought. I had to get through it. For myself, for Harry, for Ginny, for Ron. Ron. The boy that saved my life. And now I am going to save his. A voice snapped me out of my thoughts.

"There she is! Get her!" He screamed. Oh no. He was gaining on me. I felt a surge of energy course through me and I used it to help me run faster. I looked around to see if there was anywhere I could escape. Ah ha! A sturdy looking tree was right in front of me as I swerved to the left a little. Climbing as fast as my tired body would allow, I climbed into the tree out of sight. Just in time, I pulled myself onto the highest branch I could find and hid behind the leaves. I watched silently as the man and his guards ran past my hiding place. I breathed out a sigh of relief. Suddenly a rustling was heard behind me. I froze, too scared to turn around. Eventually I did and screamed at what I saw. A man, no more than twenty, sat behind me. His face was heavily scared and he had a single trail of blood running from the corner of his mouth. His face twisted as he smirked at me.

"Got you," He whispered, before giving me a shove. It was a light shove but my balance was already questionable, so I shouldn't have been surprised when I went toppling off of the branch. As I fell, I didn't scream. A long time ago, I had realised that screaming didn't do anything. So I just remembered Ron. His smile, his laugh, the way he held my hand, the way he said my name. I was still thinking of him as I hit the ground with a sickening crunch. I saw the man in the tree above me, calling to the leader of the group that had been chasing me earlier. It was then I noticed that the darkness was coming. Instead of fighting it like anyone else would do, I smiled gently to myself and let it consume me.
