Note: A little something I oh-so-desperately have wanted to write for quite a long time. Then, here we are!
This first drabble is… well, am I the only one who noticed that, whatever happen in the show, in the end Kai is always coming back to Takao? *grins*

Kai looked at him for a moment, silently, as he was waiting for some kind of judgment he knew that wasn't going to come.
It was a strange, lonesome feeling, pending like there was nothing to lose, when everything was already lost, awaiting to grab some glory with bare hands and rebuilt what he had destroyed all by himself.
But, yet, he was fine. Fine with himself, his resolution; fine with everything - everyone.
In the end, he thought, he was just coming back home.
Takao opened his arms. "Welcome back!", he said and laughed.
Kai just looked away, somehow pleased.
