The rain really was fascinating.

Scientifically, it can be explained but one could never explain what effects it has on people. Take, for example, Izaya Orihara. Watch as his eyes flicker with a whole new sort of delight as the rain pours down, engulfing Ikebukuro in an ironic silence. He spins in his chair a couple more times before heading out, not bothering to put on his favourite parka as he passed a confused Namie.

He slammed the door to his apartment with a loud bang and dashed down the stairs as fast as he possibly could. He bumped into several residents but didn't bother to apologize as their things clattered to the ground.

Finally. Rain! Glorious rain!

Even he was a little bit human. The heat was getting on his last nerves.

The sound of the rain colliding with the cold hard pavement was like music to his ears and he jumped with glee and landed in a puddle, making a splash that put little children to shame. The water splashed onto an innocent bystander who shied away when he noticed the man who caused it was laughing hysterically.

The rain drenched his clothes which stuck to his body, showing off his stunning body frame. He spun around and did several flips. His body shivered because of the cold but he decided to ignore it for the time being.

Shizuo walked out of the store, a cup of hot coffee in hand. It was the perfect whether for it and he wanted to enjoy it while the streets where peaceful. He pulled open his umbrella and rested it on his shoulder as he took another sip of his caffeine.

Slowly, he began walking to his apartment to finally end his tiring day with a hot bath but he was interrupted by the sound of laughter and the sight of a soaked flea. He raised his eyebrows and stared curiously at the man singing and dancing in the rain.

For a moment, he wasn't angered by the sight of the flea. He was curious. The louse was acting like a child... then again, he always did but right now, as the rain pelted down oh his body and he danced more, he looked as if he had no other intentions besides bathing in the rain.

For the first time, he approached Izaya with no animosity at all.

"Oi, flea." He called.

Izaya looked around at the call of his nickname and was surprised to find curious chocolate colored orbs staring at him. "Shizu-chan?" he asked. "Lovely weather today, don't you think?" he splashed around once again and in the process wetting the bartender's pants. "Ah, sorry about that." he apologized and laughed.

Shizuo scratched his head and shrugged. "Yeah... don't worry about it..."

Izaya raised an eyebrow in confusion. This wasn't the Shizu-chan his was used to. This was a whole new side of Shizzy that he's never seen before. He wanted to see more.

Shizuo raised the umbrella over both their heads and offered his coffee. "Idiot. If you keep this up, you'll catch a cold." he mumbled just loud enough for the shorter man to hear.

The informer accepted the offering and brought the cup of coffee into his hands. The warmth that his cold fingers enveloped was so comforting that it made him hum in delight but that didn't stop him from asking his question. "Ne, Shizu-chan..." he took a sip. "I thought you wanted me dead. What's all this then?"

Shizuo shrugged and kicked his shoes, hoping to get them a little drier. "I do... but if you died because of a cold, I wouldn't be able to teach you your lesson." he explained flatly. "For now, just take it as a peace offering."

Shrugging, Izaya answered with a small chuckle. "I'm fine with that but..." he dropped the cup, it's warm contents spilling all over their shoes, and slapped the umbrella out of Shizuo's hand, replacing it with his own. "For now, why don't you play with me?"
