Possessing an Imaginary Kitten

"Tatsuki, if you don't take this quiz and answer every single thing honestly, I will NEVER speak to you again!" Kotarou glared and waited impatiently for his cousin's answer. They were at a school-sponsored personality test at the school festival and Tatsuki so far had refused to go near the booth.

"WOW! Broody-boy, He's 100 serious! Are you ready to risk it all over one little personality quiz?" Yuuto chimed in. He was silently amazed at how much this meant to Kotarou and personally thought the femmy boy would burst into tears if Tatsuki said no again.

"Hn." With that eloquent answer he ungraciously entered the booth where the sound of a grudging pencil drew in answers to a very long test. Kotarou beamed and skipped away to buy some cotton candy for his cousin. He knew Tatsuki secretly loved it. ( Because I want him to)

1 Hour Later

Tatsuki exited the booth looking as bad as he had when he'd been given a concussion from Tsutsui. (Book 2) He quietly handed over the results page without even so much as a glance and took the cotton candy his cousin handed over in exchange. He contentedly munched on his cotton candy until a loud sound startled him.

"WOW! HAHAHAHA! You're a 'gentle loving person with a soft side that only a kitten can truly bring out'! HAHAHA!" Yuuto couldn't help his outburst. That was too far from the mark. A chilling look from Kotarou startled him and he looked over at the subject of his hilarity. Tatsuki actually looked... embarrassed. The red spots in his cheeks nearly killed Yuuto. He suddenly felt very guilty as he read his aura. He's embarrassed, scared, and a little bit... proud? That's odd. Maybe he's proud that he finished it? Yuuto looked over at Kotarou to say something and the words died in his throat. That smile and aura combination could defeat all evil. No wonder Tatsuki's proud. He put that smile there.

"So, Tatsuki, do you want to stop and buy a kitten on the way home? I know a great pet shop." Kotarou trailed off as his cousin gave him a half-hearted glare.

"...redy...kitten..."

"Huh? I didn't hear you."

Tatsuki looked at his cousin for a moment before he looked away again, blushing. "I said 'I already have a kitten.' Thanks anyway." Kotarou looked around, star-struck. He has a kitten? I swear I didn't know! I thought I would know if anyone would! "Oi! Wait-a-minute! What kitten? We don't have a kitten!"

Kotarou ran after his cousin, yelling something about hiding cuties from him. Yuuto shook his head and grinned. Poor guys. Kotarou has no idea that Tatsuki meant him, and now Tatsuki will never have any peace. He snickered at his best friends for a minute before deciding to try out the quiz for himself.
