Daily Prophet
The New Dark Lord or Hero in Waiting?
Written By: Matilda Merdorf
As I am sure news has spread around the wizarding world quickly, I need not inform you that He-Who-Shall-Not-Be-Named, now free to be called Voldemort, is dead. The story and background of his death has not been so public. Curiously, it was not Harry Potter who was the downfall of Voldemort, but one of his own followers. Lucius Malfoy, who claims he never really was a true Death Eater, only a spy, killed off Lord Voldemort on August 10. The wizarding world was celebrating at the same time as the Ministry of Magic was trying to decipher Lucius Malfoy's true reason behind killing his ruler.
"I have always been spying on Voldemort, ever since he came to power," Lucius claims.
When questioned why he never took action against Voldemort before, Lucius seemed to have no comment. Was Malfoy's killing of the Dark Lord heroic or downright suspicious? That will be for the Ministry to decide. As of now, the wizarding world should be celebrating, for He-Who-Shall-Not-Be-Named, never will.

"Heroic!" Ron cried out, throwing the Daily Prophet onto the Weasley's scratched kitchen table. "Who would ever believe a Malfoy would be heroic."
Harry and Hermione laughed. It would be like Ron to complain at such a joyous time. They were at the Burrow when the news had come out. Hermione never saw Harry more happy about anything in all the four years she had known him. They had all figured the war between Light and Dark would last forever, but to their surprise, it hadn't even went into their fifth year. After the celebrations that had taken place at Ron's house, there was speculation. Of all people to kill Voldemort, what were the chances if it being Lucius Malfoy? Slim to none would have been everyone's answer before, now though, it was true. Ron however refused to believe Lucius had done it for the good of the wizarding world.
"There must have been some reason behind it," Ron said, a look of deep thought plastered on his face.
"Ron, come on," Harry chided, "don't be so down about things. Lucius may have killed Voldemort first before he had a chance to kill Lucius."
"Harry is right Ron," Hermione said. "If you should be worrying about anything now it should be when you are going to start your potion's essay."
Soon the trio was arguing about potions and their minds had fled from Mr. Malfoy. But Ron still had a nagging feeling in the back of his head. Something wasn't right about this whole thing. He had no doubts Voldemort was dead, but there was something wrong with Lucius' story.

"Father you have no idea what she is like!"
"You forget I have me the girl on a few occasions. I see that she is spunky but that is exactly what I need. And how many times must I tell you do not call me father."
"So how am I supposed to bring her here?"
"Is it true that you are larger than her?"
"Of course I am!"
"Then use force."
"And if she is flanked by her friends as she always is?"
"You think I have not figured that? I have a diversion, my dear son."
At that moment the large, burly, hooked nose figure stalked through the hall doors and towards them.
"Master, how hafe you been?"
