A/N-First off let me start off by saying I HAVEN'T given up on When it Rain's. My computer broke and I haven't been able to get my story off there to work on it. I want to thank every one of who who've read/reviews/favorited even after I haven't updated in months. We're working on getting my hard drive onto something else so I can get my story so hopefully soon!
To get myself back into writing, on tumblr I asked people to message me random words (I had an idea in my head) but sadly no one did. So feel free to do so on here. ;) What someone did do though is ask me: Do you think you can write short about Jade reluctantly falling for Robbie? The absence of Rex would be appreciated. They aren't my ship but I thought I'd give it a try. It still might turn more into a friendship thing I'm not quiet sure yet but I hope you enjoy.
*Victorious isn't mine sadly. Also Honey Moon is a person who made a fan video on youtube (HoneyMoonAV) for the scissoring. I don't know her, never talked to her, I just liked the video and needed a name and the director was never named on the show (as far as I know). I hope she doesn't mind.
J POV
"Jade..Jade!"
"What?" I look up from the drawing I was working on to find an exasperated look on my teachers face and I fight back a smirk.
"Your partner is Robbie." I hear a high pitched whine from a few rows over. I glare at him before going back to my picture. Ignoring him, the teacher continues pairing off the rest of the class. "You have the rest of the class to work on your projects, quietly."
R POV
Watching the rest of the class pair up I look over at Jade. She's scary on a good day but ever since she and Beck broke up she's been terrifying. At least I'll have Rex with me. Sighing I put my stuff in my backpack and grab Rex. Moving over to the desk beside her I set my backpack down between us, resting Rex on top of it.
"Get that thing away from me."
"Hey, I'm not a thing!" I grab Rex when she starts counting.
"Okay, fine." I bring him back to my seat.
"What happened to bros before hoes?"
"Shh! Rex!" Looking around, I'm glad no one, namely Jade heard him.
"I've got to work on my project."
"This is wack."
"It'll only be for a few minutes." After making sure he's comfortable I make my way back to the raven-haired girl.
"So," I tensely say after a few minutes of silence.
"Buttons."
"Huh?" What does buttons have to do with directors?
"Sew buttons. Get it? You sew buttons."
"Oh! Yeah, a joke." I force a small laugh out.
"What, you don't think I'm funny?"
"No-yes! I mean, I didn't say that." Wiping my hands on my pants I try to ignore how sweaty they've gotten. "Please don't kill me." Rolling her blue-green eyes, Jade goes back to her drawing. "Any idea on who you want to do our project on?"
"Honey Moon."
"Honey Moon?"
"Yeah problem?"
"No its just I've never heard of her."
"She only directed the best movie ever, The Scissoring."
"Haven't seen it." Jade gapes at me. "What?"
"Please tell me your joking."
"I'm sorry?" Shaking her head, Jade glances at the clock.
"Okay, movie time after school." With that she starts packing her things.
"But I have plans."
"And what? You think I don't? Cancel them."
End Note: Sorry if they seem a bit OOC, I hadn't seen an episode of Victorious for months when I started writing this. Fixing that now though. I also should state this takes place before the show starts so no Tori in this one. I'm thinking there should only be one more (and longer..hopefully) chapter to add to this but we'll see.
