-1Okay I just finished the series today so yeah and heres my first His Dark Materials fan fiction. As always I do not own this story and trust me. I will never own anything even CLOSE to the remarkable His Dark Materials book. And God do I wish I did.

As soon as he closed the window between his Oxford and Lyra's he instantly wanted to make a new one in hope of catching Lyra before she left. But Kirjava put an end to that. She wouldn't let him. Not with it creating a Specter. Will sighed and cuddled Kirjava closely and looked up at Mary.

"Well," she said. "well, listen now, Will. We've hardly spoken you and I . . . So were still strangers largely. But Serefina Pekkala and I made a promise to each other, and I made a promise to Lyra just now, and even if I didn't make any promises, I'd make a promise to you about the same thing, which is that if you'll let me, I'll be your friend for the rest of our lives. We're both on our own now and I reckon we both do with that sort of . . . What I mean to say is, there isn't anyone else we can talk to about all of this, except each other . . . And we've both gotten to living with our daemons too. . . And we're both in trouble . . ."

"You're in trouble?" said Will, looking at her.

"Pan.. Oh Pan! We shouldn't have left them!" Lyra cuddled Pan close crying into his fur. Why did they have to leave Will? They could have such a small opening that Dust couldn't escape. Couldn't they? No. They couldn't. She knew that. She sighed and walked towards the Botanic Gardens and sat at the bench crying. She sudden had a thought and looked around for something sharp. She found a piece of metal on the ground and carved I love you Will on the bench and she laid on the bench and fell asleep.
