Bad Timing
It was the day of the solar eclipse. The gang was in the Fire Nation Palace, aiming to take down the Fire Lord. But sadly, they hadn't even made it to the throne room, and they were already starting to loose.
The solar eclipse was coming fast, and they had to get Aang to the Fire Lord. At that moment, he and Toph were fighting back-to-back, literally. Katara could see by the way they were fighting together, they were in this together.
"Sokka, we have to get Aang and Toph to the Fire Lord," she cried to her brother.
"How are we going to do that? We don't even know where it is!" Sokka yelled back.
Large flames erupted on Katara's left, but she barely turned her head to look, because she knew it could be her last.
"Need some help?" asked a voice over roaring rage if war.
To this, Katara actually turned, wondering if her ears had deceived her. But they hadn't Zuko was walking over to her, actually fighting against his nation.
"Tell Aang and Toph where your father is," Katara told him.
After he did so, he came back over to Katara and fought behind her.
"Katara, I have to tell you something," he said loudly over the battle.
She water whipped a few soldiers out of the way, and turned to face him.
"Is this really the right time?" she hollered at him.
"YES! Katara, I love you!" he cried out to her.
Katara was stunned for a minute when she heard this. She could here more soldiers advancing, so she turned around to face them.
"I love you too," she said.
They both smiled at the advancing soldiers. They were going to face them together, and no matter what the outcome, they were going to love each other. Even if they told each other at a bad time.
A/N- Well, what'd you think? Good? Bad? Horrible? None of the above? I'd love your opinion on this because I'm working on a full Zutara story, so if there's anything I could improve on, please tell me!
