Yuki and Kyo waited outside of their house, wondering where Tohru was. She had said she was only going to be a few minutes, and that had been over a half-hour ago. Did she really need to get dressed up for Valentines Day? All they were going to do was go to a kimono festival. Kyo was especially nervous; any minute now Kagura would come running up to him and force him to eat her wretched chocolate. He shuddered and scooted a little more towards the house, ready to run for it if Kagura showed up. Finally, Tohru slid open the paper door and walked out side, making the two boys gasp at her beauty. Tohru had a carnation pink kimono on with little zodiac animals on it, Kyo was surprised to see the cat included, and the yellow ribbon Yuki had given her for White Day was in her hair. Totally oblivious, as usual, to the boys adoring looks, she ran forward and grabbed their hands. Pulling them away from the house, she giggled.

"Sohma-kun! Kyo-kun! Come on! We have to get to the festival!"

Both Yuki and Kyo blushed, they were in awe. They had never seen Tohru look so beautiful.

Once they arrived at the festival, Tohru seemed to get even more cheerful, if that was even possible.

"TOOOOOOOOOHRUUUUUUUUUUUU!"

An overly hyper Momiji ran towards the Tohru, attempting to hug her, but Kyo grabbed Tohru's hand and pulled her out of the way.

"You idiot! You could have transformed!"

Kyo smacked Momiji upside the head, succeeding in him bursting into tears.

"Tohru! Kyo hit me!"

While Tohru comforted Momiji, Yuki looked at him, confused as to why he was here. Momiji noticed Yuki looking at him and started jumping up and down, his tears totally gone.

"Yuki! Yuki! I totally forgot! Haru wanted to see you!"

With that, Momiji grabbed Yuki's hand and pulled him through the crowd, leaving Kyo and Tohru all alone. Kyo looked over at Tohru and blushed again, he couldn't get over how cute she looked. Tohru, still completely oblivious, took Kyo's hand and led him towards a koi pond she had seen before. She knelt down by the edge of the pond and looked at the swimming koi, saying how cute and adorable they are, while Kyo was thinking the same things about her. He knelt down next to her and put his hand over hers. Tohru looked up at him, completely surprised.

"Kyo-ku-"

Kyo silenced her by pulling her into a hug and kissing her gently on the lips. Tohru was shocked, but after a couple seconds, she closed her eyes and leaned into the kiss. Kyo pulled away and stood up, pulling Tohru with him. Tohru blushed at what had just happened and Kyo laughed at her. He embraced her once more, then took her hand and led her back home.

No one seemed to notice that Kyo didn't change into a cat.

Love. That was all the curse needed to be broken.
