A quick One shot that is in no way related to my other story Burried.

Percy's POV

My fingers dug into the railing as I looked out at what was beyond the Ago II. Annabeth was beside me and she too looked out with a grim feeling.

Somewhere to our right Leo was practically hanging off the ship because he was leaning so far over; gawking at our new surroundings. He let a whoop. "This is so cool!"

If anyone on the ship was seriously ADHD, it was most definitely him I thought. Considering all the trouble and grief I have caused my mom over the years… I think if it had been Leo there would have been a considerable increase in explosions. I mean… I know I caused one or two, I think it was two, but that is beside the point…

Frank and Hazel stood beside each other with equal looks of awe. "It is so beautiful," whispered Hazel. With his gaze leaving the view for a moment to glance at Hazel, Frank nodded. "Yeah." I could tell he meant two different things…

Piper stood near Jason and she too was awed. With hands holding the railing, it looked like she was trying to take it all in. Breathlessly she looked to Jason but stopped short. Jason was sitting on the railing with his legs dangling in midair, staring intently at what lay beyond. Although his position could be taken as relaxed his facial expression said something entirely different.

She shot a concerned look at him, but he did not notice, and then turned back to look at the scenery. We all knew she could read facial expressions, but this time, she tried to ignore it.

Annabeth was leaning against the railing with her arms crossed. I could almost see the gears in wise girl's brain turning, trying to come up with a plan, our next move…

I thought about it too. Ways to make it not like the last time. Ways to make sure all of our bases are covered, that no one gets hurt. Impossible, I know, but you can't blame a guy for trying right?

Annabeth laughed sadly beside me. Breaking my gaze from the spectacle I looked at her. "You know Percy," she said," when I imagined seeing the Parthenon; this was not what I had in mind." As she had said it she continued to look out over the side of the Argo II.

"No," I murmured. "I didn't either."

I tightened my hold on the railing and my knuckles turned white. I looked back to what was beyond us.

Blanketed in fog and mist Ancient Greece, or at least the ruins of it, looked beautiful. Modern Greece was nowhere to be seen, but the old columns and other architectural things Annabeth would know the names of (and had probably told me about) rose above the fog. It truly was something to be awed by, but we knew better.

I glanced at Jason and saw a reflection of my own feelings on his face. Annabeth, Jason and I knew better. We were the old hands. We had seen this happen all before. We knew the beautiful site before us was a battle field.

That was why we had come to Greece. And we couldn't shake that feeling. While the others watched in awe… we dreaded repeats of battles past.

After all, this was the site of the final battle.
