"Get back here!" Motoko yelled, her sword already drawn. She held it in a blade-down position, in the unlikely event of her tripping so she wouldn't impale herself. She found herself going full speed; Keitaro was faster than most of the girls gave him credit for. "It was an accident!" Keitaro shouted, a waterfall of tears leaking out of his wide, fear-filled eyes. "That's what you always say! There's no way it can be an accident 100 percent of the time!" She swung her blade and he ducked as a wave of energy moved just above him. He managed to spot a few strands of his hair that had been sliced off. 'Close!' he thought, dashing down the stairs. He rushed in a random direction, and that direction just so happened to be to the hot springs. He ran inside and closed the door behind him, forcing Motoko to open it a few seconds after. Trying to get her breathing under control, she held her blade correctly with both hands, a firm grip on it.

"Urashima, come out and take your punishment like a man!" She called, keeping her eyes peeled. She heard a tap behind her and swung. She stopped halfway when she saw it was Shinobu in nothing but a towel. "EEP!" the young cook squeaked, jumping back. "M-motoko! You scared me!" She said loudly, gripping the hem of her towel tightly. "Sorry, Shinobu! I am looking for that perverted manager of ours. You didn't happen to see him, did you?" Shinobu shook her head frantically. The truth is she did see him, and after she managed to get over the shock of him seeing her in just a towel she believed him wholeheartedly. "

I don't think he's in here anymore…" she said, fiddling with her towel. "'Anymore'?" Shinobu gasped and clasped her hands over her mouth. "I-i-i-i meant not in here at a-all!" Motoko moved past the stuttering girl and took a few steps into the spring. It was as clean as ever, steam rising and obscuring her vision. When she heard the sounds of a slight gasp she immediately swing her blade behind her, in the direction of the changing room. The energy wave tore through the door, and right past Keitaro. He fell on his back but quickly stood up, feeling his cheek. She had grazed his face, and blood dripped down his cheek.

"M-m-motoko! It was an accident, I swear!" "You expect me to believe you stole a pair of Mitsune's panties four times in a day as an accident?! You're just a good-for-nothing pervert!" The truth was, Mitsune had planted them on him throughout the day as a prank, and boy was she having a hoot in her room, the noise from the commotion giving her more than enough entertainment. She stepped forward, raised her blade, and swung in a sideways motion.

Normally, Keitaro managed to avoid the attack by a hair, or sometimes even take it and survive for unknown reasons. But just as she swung, she slipped on the water that Shinobu had brought in, altering the angle of the attack. Instead of cutting in a straight, horizontal path, the slice spun around uncontrollably. Out of instinct Keitaro raised his arms in an attempt to block it, since he knew he wasn't going to be able to avoid it. But when she slipped her Ki was also out of focus, causing the attack to be not only out of control, but much more fatal as a result. She would, on average, use only thirty to fifty percent of her power on Keitaro, but since her focus had been thrown off this attack was closer to ninety percent, on top of being unstable. When it made contact the only thing Motoko saw and heard was a spray of blood, and the crunch of bone.

Keitaro's arms took most of the impact, protecting his torso and head. As a result, his arms and shoulders were, for lack of a better word, completely mangled. Blood poured through the wounds. Dozens of cuts of different sizes covered his arms, some so deep bone was visible. Blood spurted onto the ground, and his shirt and most of the floor was stained a deep red. Keitaro kept his block up out of shock, but when he lost feeling in his arms they want limp, shoulders and all.

Shinobu was knocked on her back from the impact, and when she raised her head and saw the view she panicked for a moment before fainting completely. Motoko stood and grabbed her head. When she noticed the copious amount of blood her eyes went wide. She looked down at her bloodstained hands, then back up to Keitaro. "Motoko…what did you do…?" His voice was so weak, like he was fading. Her breathing became shallow as she got up, discarding her sword, which was somehow free from any blood. She tried to speak but no words came out. She became a stuttering mess before she finally managed to call for help. Naru peeked her head through the hot-spring door, but Motoko's tall frame blocked her view. "Naru! Naru, call an ambulance, hurry! Don't come in here, just do it!" Motoko pushed Naru out of the door before closing it shut. "Keitaro is gravely injured!"
