"The last time I was at Scandals, I met the man of my dreams on the dance floor…We broke up about twenty minutes after we met."
It was still hard for Sebastian to think about it. Harder than that was to talk about it. He tried not to make a big deal about it but it wasn't easy when he had to carry those memories of a long lost love with him, everyday of his life.
That day, Scandals was more boring than usual. It was drag queen's night and since drag queens weren't Sebastian's type it was hard to find someone to hook up with.
He was about to leave the bar when he saw him. He had heard people talking about love at first sight but he never thought he would ever experience it.
It wasn't his ginger, unkempt hair (which was a huge turn on for Sebastian) that attracted him the most. It was the odd smell the boy had. He didn't smell like roses or perfume but Sebastian liked it. Something about the smell amazed him and the more he smelled the boy the more he wanted him.
It didn't take long for the two of them to start talking. There was an unusual and strong chemistry between them. Everything seemed to be going great and they were dancing with each other, until Brett stopped and said: - I'm sorry. I can't do this.
Sebastian was confused.
-What? Why?
Brett took a deep breath and answered hesitating:
-There's something I didn't tell you about me.
-You can tell me anything, Brett.
-I'm homeless, Sebastian.
Sebastian was a bit in shock with the ginger's revelation but instead of running away like he always did whenever there was a problem he just smiled at him and replied:
-Doesn't bother me if it doesn't bother you.
He was expecting to see a smile forming in Brett's face but instead he seemed even unhappier.
-What's wrong?
-It's not just that. You're a great guy Sebastian but I'm in love with someone else.
After hearing those words Sebastian's heart stopped beating for a while. Brett's words hurt him more than he would ever imagine. But he didn't give up. That day he left home and began his life on the streets, trying to find Brett. However it seemed like he was gone… forever.
And that was the moment Sebastian realized all his chances were gone. That was the moment he became heartless and stopped caring about people's feeling, he would avoid guys with ginger, unkempt hair and he would look for guys with either very short hair or with an enormous amount of hair gel.
And that was the moment when Sebastian swore revenge at the boy who Brett was in love with. The one that stole Brett's heart.
