Author's Note: WARNING. Before you read this, just know that my chapters are REALLY short. REALLY REALLY short. Like Maximum-Ride-series-short (which are really damn short). But I post often, so don't be discouraged. Also, if you like Soul Eater, you should check out my Soul Eater story. But without further ado...

After the incident with the Gehenna gate, students started pouring into True Cross Academy, jumping at the chance to slay the monster that had terrified them just a few weeks prior. And due to the overwhelming amount of trainees, Mephisto enlisted me as a teacher as soon as I
became a full fledged exorcist, at the age of 18. I started teaching swordsmanship (because Lord knows I wasn't very good at anything else). The ages of the students ranged from anywhere around 12 to just over 20. I'll admit, it was incredibly weird teaching people older than me. But Mephisto didn't exactly give me a choice in the matter.
"All right, everyone," I said. "My name's Rin Okumura. I'll be your teacher for swordsmanship. So first off, does anyone -"
"Hey, Okumura!" Bon shouted, barging into the class. "Just got orders from the headmaster. Since there're so many students, they're only trainin' for the type of exorcist they plan to be. So all those aiming to be arias, come with me."
As the arias stumbled out of the room, Izumo and Shiemi came in and pulled out all the tamers. I was expecting Yukio to come in any second and get the dragoons and doctors. But he didn't.
"All right then," I continued. "So, as I was saying -"
"Sorry I'm late!" Yukio slammed the door open.
"Good morning to you too."
"Sorry. I had an errand -"
"Just get on with it."
"Doctors, I'll lead you to your classroom. Dragoons, you'll be training with me."
As the students rushed out after Yukio, one of the girls turned back to face me. She was tall, with short brown hair and blue -green eyes. She gave me a small salute and grinned.
I moved on to swordsmanship after all but a few had gone. But I spent nearly the whole day trying to get the girl out of my head.
