Prelude
Kagome sat on the steps of the shrine, wondering where Inuyasha was. He really had a habit of being impatient, but he sure took his sweet time when it came to apologizing to her. "What the hell are you doing here?!" Inuyasha growled menacingly. Kagome raised an eyebrow, then sighed and turned away from the huffing hanyou.
"I'm waiting for an apology" She said, lifting her nose in the air.
"An ap-? Wha... From who?!" He demanded.
"You!" Kagome glared at him, utter consternation evident in her expression. He could be so dense sometimes! Gods! Sometimes she just wished they could understand each other!
Under ordinary circumstances, Kagome didn't get quite so emotional in her battles with Inuyasha, but it was her, uhhhh... time of the month, and she was in between the urge to slap him and break into tears. With the jumble of emotions, she needed somewhere to project that desire of hers, so when she found a place outside she used it without a second thought to what it was. The almost complete Shikon no Tama glowed with Kagome's pulsing emotions, she was no longer its guardian, she was its bearer. Finding Kagome's wish for an understanding, the jewel sought to please its master, and sent Kagome flying into Inuyasha mid-sentence, where she promptly blacked out.
