Mark slipped up behind the brunette, covering her eyes with his gloved hands & aiming his lips for her cheek to plant a soft kiss but missed and ended up catching her ear instead. A giggle erupted from Lexie as she spun around to face him, reaching her arms around his neck to greet him with a proper good morning kiss before whirling around to look at the snow-covered paradise that was around them.

"Look at all the snow! Isn't is amazing, I've missed having proper snow since I moved to Seattle and wow just look at it Mark!" Lexie's excitement was palpable and Mark was enjoying that far more than the view right now, although he had to admit she was right and the snow that had settled in the forest was rather spectacular, almost like those cutesy scenes you'd find on a holiday card. Which was exactly what he'd had in mind when he'd booked this winter retreat for the pair of them. They both could do with a break from the hospital, from the gossip-mill and weird stares at the pair of them together. He didn't understand why people couldn't just accept that Mark Sloan and Lexie Grey were dating and that there was nothing strange about that at all.

"It's gorgeous Lex." Just like you, he adds in his head. Her cheeks are flushed from the cold but it just serves to underscore how beautiful she is and he's certain that it isn't the cold air that's taking his breath away. Tearing his gaze away from her he grins and scoops up a handful of the snow that's settled on the porch rail before dumping it on her head. "Gotcha!"

Lexie shrieks at the unexpected snowfall on her head, mouth hanging open as she turns to face Mark and grabs her own handful of snow, mittens only slightly hampering her efforts, and flings it straight into his face before making a run for the cabin steps and the promise of more snow.

She's barely touched the pristine lawn covered in thick, white snow that lays before them when another snowball hits the back of her head with a soft thwack. Dropping to her knees to drag her arm through the thicker snow of her vantage point she packs it quickly and aims well, hitting Mark's chest with a giggle.

Running for the cover of the pile of snow Lexie threw a look over her shoulder to see Mark close on her heels, she's about to dive sideways when he tackles her and they roll into the snow bank together, his body cushioning hers in the fall.

"Mark!" She's breathless but can't stop the laughter that's spilling from her lips. His hair is covered in snow and there are flakes in his eyebrows as well which she attempts to brush away guiltily, only leaving more in her wake. "Oops!"

Growling playfully before tugging her body further on top of his so she doesn't get cold laying in the snow, he takes a beat to just stare at her and take in her effortless beauty. Growing up on the East Coast had hardened him to snowy winters and he'd bought a huge parka in preparation for the trip, Lexie on the other hand wasn't as well dressed for the weather and he didn't want her getting frostbite or something. Raising his head from its snowy pillow he presses his lips against her cold ones gently, the heat from her body against his making him hungry for the taste of her as her snowy mittens frame his face.

Lexie realizes she's lost track of time laying in the snow with Mark until her brain starts to override the pleasurable taste of his lips against hers with the cold creeping up her calves. "Mhm, not that I'm not enjoying this…" she trails her tongue along his lower lip to demonstrate just how much she's enjoying herself, "but it is kind of cold out here and we have a very nice warm cabin over there." Her smile is accompanied by a suggestive quirk of her eyebrow and before she knows it she's on her feet, wobbling unsteadily on her numb feet. Steadying her with a smile of his own, Mark swoops her up in his arms and carries her up the wooden steps to the cabin.

"So tell me Little Grey, how does a warm bath for two sound to you?"
