It all started when I was a young boy, when my father took me into the city to see the marching band. I told that I wanted to start a band. So he had got me some amps and three microphones for my birthday when I turned ten. My Grandfather had got me a drum set with two pair of sticks. My Uncle bought me a Cherry Red Fender Stratocaster and a Black and Gray Fender Striped Darker Flay five string bass guitar. My Uncle taught how to play them all. By the time I was thirteen I had almost enough people who wanted to start a band to start a band. All I needed was one more person to be lead guitar and harmony singer.
I met my friend James Wallis at church, and he wanted to start a band. So I asked you know how to play a guitar, he said yes. Then he said he had two Fender Stratocasters and a microphone. So I asked him if he would let someone borrow them, he said yes. Then I said welcome to the band, he said what, that's when I repeated what I said. Then he asked me what the name of the band was and I said The Death Dealers.
When the first practice was we wasn't very good. By the sixth practice we were practicing our own songs. We practiced our first song and it is called All or Nothing. When we practiced our first song we blew two amps, busted five drumheads, and broke twelve strings. The next day we got everything new to prevent any breaks. The day after that we blew all our microphones, so we got new ones.
We had our first performance on July 4, 2007 at 7:00 p.m. at Webbers Falls Oklahoma. We had so many fans that one gut offered to do our light show. At our concert concert the songs we played were: Dope, All or Nothing, Death in the Night, and my personal favorite, Don't Lie to the Reaper. We played till dawn of the next morning. Then someone decided to shoot at us, so we left. When we got back on the bus we done an injury count, I got shot in the arm Wayne got shot in the knee, Steven got shot in the stomach, James got shot in the groin, and Kern got shot in the hand.
So this is truly the best time I've ever had with a friend. We had all this stuff happen to us. Then the band broke up, and we are going to get back together. You are probably wondering the names of the band members they are: John Ward, Wayne Coleman, Steven Gray, Kern Parman, and James Wallis. We all had a good time with The Death Dealers.
