It's the year 2050 and an error in Aniverse is causing it to slowly disappear. Without Aniverse, the whole anime world would cease to exist! However, knowing this because of the mysterious figure's threatening message in his reoccurring dreams, Mitani Ryouchi attempts to stop this so called "error." Ryouchi, also known as Ryo, asks his friend Jounichi to change him into computer data and transfer him to Aniverse's man source of energy, since Aniverse is only accessible by computer and "digital beings." Once there, Ryo discovers that someone has taken the orb that Aniverse relies on for survival. Determined to find out who took it, Ryo sets off on his journey. But when he wanted to go back to the "real world," Ryo finds out that someone has changed Aniverse's program code again and has denied his request to logout! Who did it? And why? Unable to go back, Ryo continues his search for the mysterious being that keeps haunting his dreams.
