I recently found a stack of things I wrote, so I figured I could post a few of them here to get some feedback and hopefully get better at writing! Please tell me if you loved it or hated it (although I would much prefer you love it, of course :P )
These are going to be poems, a different one per chapter. Here goes!
Letters From the Heart
To Him -
I love you,
I really do.
But I don't really know
If I'm in love with you.
To Her -
I see you,
You pretend not to see me.
You slide by the walls,
A ghost of your former self.
To a Soul in Pain -
I know you,
Or so I think.
Behind the carefully crafted mask
Lies a yearning that devours all.
To a Star -
I pity you,
Who shines so bright.
You blind those around
As they try to hide your light.
To the Restless -
I read your eyes
The reason you hide them.
Hopeful, yet afraid to be discovered.
So true, so tired, so lost.
To the Confident –
I envy you,
But understand so well
The need for perfection
That befalls those who can.
To the Innocent –
I'm losing you,
Yet we don't know it.
We both walk different paths,
Each trying to save the other.
To the Careful –
I thank you,
For always caring.
I am you, you were me,
Forever sharing this crushing bond.
To Myself…
I am me,
Whoever that is.
But I am never alone
In this wonderful, cruel world.
To sleep… To rest…
The world will move on.
