A/n: I don't know where this came from. It's actually good... I just don't know what to do with it. The title is kind of deciving, but then again, so is the story. Please enjoy.

It was raining. Cold, hard and fast the rain hit the ground and the two bodies that lay there. One body bled red and was pale with raven hair and gold eyes. The other bled green and was emerald with ruby eyes. They were very different, but far more alike then five years ago. Dib had always been impenetrable to the twists and turns of earth, and Zim had evolved to this same point. His Pak even lay in his lab, useless to his new system and to the changes in his body.
Those early years, elementary school, had been hard for them both. Now, in eighth grade, they were completely different people. Zim was as close to human as he'd ever be, and Dib was far more Irken then most humans. They both stared up at the sky and Zim spoke, "I may go back to Irk." Dib chuckled.
"That'd be cool. Your bound to be Tallest if you do." Zim laughed as well.
"I wouldn't be able to come back." Dib's laughter stopped and he rolled so that he was now on his stomach.
"Oh… would you come back to invade Earth?" Zim rolled so that they were facing each other.
"Maybe, but that'd mean I'd have to send another Invader… if I became Tallest." Dib sat up on his knees and clutched his bleeding arm.
"When are you leaving." Zim sighed. He should have known he wouldn't be able to trick Dib into thinking this was an actual choice.
"Monday." Dib smiled.
"Your going to miss the biology test… and Gaz's Birthday. I was going to have Gir decorate the cake."
Zim stood up and pulled the three-inch shorter human to his feet, "I could leave Gir here… with you." Dib looked into the red Irken eyes, "He likes it here… I'd miss him, but the Massive is no place for something like Gir." Dib nodded and whipped some of his blood from Zim's cheek.
"How much taller are you then Red and Purple?" Zim smirked.
"Six inches. They were only five feet nine inches. I'm a full six two. Tallest Irken in history." Dib smiled and looked towards the west.
"The sun's coming up… and the rain has stopped." Zim sighed.
"It's Monday."
Dib nodded in agreement, "It's Monday."
Zim started to walk away, "I'll come back, Dib. So I won't say good bye." Dib didn't look at Zim.
"No. Good bye means I'll never see you again. So… I'll see you soon." Zim chuckled.
"Yah. See you soon, Dib-human." and with that he was gone. He was a simple memory. Then again. Dib was now just a memory to him as well. A small tug at his coat made him look down at a sad and confused Gir. Dib smiled and picked up the little green suited dog/robot.
"Come on, Gir. My biology test isn't going to take itself." they started to walk and Dib felt a small tear run down his cheek, "Good bye, Zim."

a/n: It's sad I know, but I have no idea what to do with this. I feel like I should leave this as a one shot... but I also feel like there should be more to it. Please help me with this. Thank you. (bow)
