This takes place after Naruto Graduates and is about to be assigned into his squad.

Chapter I: The Siren of the leaf

"Man. I hate mornings, but my orientation is today so better get up." Naruto said groggily. He gets up out of bed and eats his ramen, gets dressed, and heads outside. As soon as he's out he heads into town, "Hey! Its the Siren! Follow her!" He hears someone yell as a girl about his age runs past. She was wearing a mask so it was hard to say who it was. Then two boys from the graduating class followed after her.

"Wonder what's going on. Better see." He says as he runs after them.

He finds himself in a forest surrounded be boys. All his age. The girl was no where to be seen, "Man! Lost 'er," He said with a frown, "Guess I'll just head back."

He turned to leave but then he heard someone singing. He follows the song. It leads him to the girl that he was chasing. She was singing some kind of lullaby, it was one Naruto had never heard before. He was seduced by the song.

She stops and finally speaks, "Who will face me, now?" Naruto snapped out of it and noticed all the guys yelling. He runs up to the girl. The girl laughed, "Well you're the first to actually step up to me, do you really want to fight me?"

"Yes. Believe it, I'm gonna be the best ninja in the Leaf!" He said, smiling. The girl just laughed more, "What's so funny!"

"Oh, sorry it was just too funny," the girl's laughing softened, "From what I've gathered, you're the 'Screw up of the Leaf', Naruto. Am I correct?"

Naruto growled, "No, I'm no screw up I am going to be the best ninja!"

"Ok, ok don't blow a fuse. I tell you what," She began her voice seemed anxious, "I will take off my mask, IF, you can hit me in one shot. Deal?"

"Deal."

"Okay then follow me." she led the boys to a training ground that was split into two by a waterfall and river, "This is my favorite place to train, Naruto. Are you ready?"

"Better believe it!"

"Very well, everyone else head to the top of the waterfall." The boys did as they were told and that left Naruto and the girl, "Let's begin!"

The girl vanished in a puff of smoke, Naruto looked all around, "Where are ya! This isn't the kind of fight I had in mind!"

The girl's laughter filled the air. She had to be somewhere high above ground, he created two Shadow clones, "Find her." They nodded and headed off.

One shadow clone returned but not with the girl, "Where is she!" The shadow clone smiled then grabbed him, "Wh-what are you doing!"

"You loose." It says.

"Oh really." The Naruto it grabbed was a clone as well.

"What!" The clone shifted into the girl, "How'd he!"

"Got

The girl turns and sees Naruto over head. He strikes her mask and it shatters off her face. The girl's dark eyes, "You, actually, beat me." The girl's shocked face turned into a smile, "Congrats. Naruto."

"Thanks...uh?"

"Kiso, call me Kiso."

"Cool, thanks Kiso." He smiles.

Kiso sticks her hand out, "See ya at orientation?"

Naruto grabs shakes her hand gently, "Yeah."
