Hi guys, just to warn you, there is a LOT of Skilene, plus this is my first POM story, and romance focused story, so yeah. On with this, enjoy, please no flames bla.

It was night. Skipper couldn't sleep, because he kept thinking about Marlene. It was a strong feeling, yet he could not describe it. Maybe Kowalski will know what's wrong with me, he thought.

"Kowalski, wake up." He whispered to the sleeping penguin.

"Doris…"Kowalski murmured.

"Kowalski," He repeated in a stern voice.

"Huh?" Kowalski leaped out of bed.

"I can't sleep, my mind is to full. You're the science freak, tell me what to do!"

"Skipper, if you can't sleep because you're thinking too much, go for a walk, and RESPECT THE SCIENCE!" Kowalski jumped back in bed and was out like a light.

Skipper smirked playfully, and thought, maybe he's right, and I should go for a walk.

He climbed out of the hatchet and into the night.

Meanwhile, Marlene lay awake thinking as well. She couldn't help it, she was jealous of…herself? She hadn't realized how she felt about Skipper until she saw how love struck he was when her fur was bleached.

She felt her face grow warm at the memory. She looked out and saw Skipper strolling along.

I know it's risky, but I want him to reciprocate my feelings. She thought as she poured the stuff she needed into a tank of water and jumped in, soaking her fur.

She smirked and said, "Not bad, I wish this was my natural fur color." But then she felt that jealousy and bitterness that Skipper did not like her the way she was.

She shook it off and strolled over to him. He caught sight of her and narrowed his eyes.

"Hey Skip-"Her words were cut off as he attacked her.

Unknowingly, the tow lovey dovies stumble into the animal care center and knocked fur dye into the tank.

"Skipper what are you doing?! It's me, Marlene!" She screeched in surprise.

"No, you're Arlene! And you'll never be as pretty or sweet as her!" His blue eyes clouded as he thought of Marlene.

He knocked Marlene into the tank with dye, and it splashed all of her fur turning her normal. At once, Skipper recognized her.

"Marlene, I-"He felt his face grow hot, and he stopped, so he asked, "Why did you bleach your fur?"

"I know this sounds crazy, but I was jealous of 'Arlene' who was really me. It's because I care about you Skipper, more than you think." Tears were streaming down her pretty face.

Skipper's heart broke to see Marlene cry.

In a rare moment of gentleness, he touched her shoulder lightly.

"Marlene, I'm sorry to have to have put you through this, but I love you the way you are." His eyes widened at what he just said.

Marlene smiled, tears still shining in her light brown eyes.

"Now, let's get you home." He said, taking her paw in his flipper.

He tucked her in.

"Goodnight, Skipper/Marlene." They said to each other.

The End.

Me: aw, so sweet!

My evil side: yeah, to sweet. I'm going to do archery.

Me: let me come with! I didn't know I had an evil side.
