Author's Note: Hello fanatics! Please excuse me if I got this wrong; I don't know if, in the original movie, Indie ran from the natives on an island or on mainland. I think it was supposed to take place somewhere in Peru...

*huff-huff* I ran as fast as I could through the dense jungle, trying to escape the angry natives of this private island we were vacationing on. It took lightning fast reflexes to dodge the rocks, stumps, branches, and vines while running amongst such thick vegetation. The Indians behind me threw spears and stones. My rabbit foot necklace must have been working, because their aim was way off. As my lungs began to tire and my head grew light, I tried to slow down a little to give myself a break. But once I was slowed to a jog, the screams of the Indians got unsettlingly close. Just hold on a little longer, Penny! I sped up my pace.
For some reason, I decided to look over my shoulder to see if I lost them. I nearly had a heart attack when I saw that they were barely twenty feet behind me! For the half second I was distracted, I tripped on a pitifully small rock and fell on my face. My stylish straw fedora flew off my head and landed in a puddle. The screaming grew louder. Without thinking twice, I struggled to my feet, put the muddy fedora on my head, and ran for my life. My face and hair were now soaked and dripping with dirty water from my hat. The combined dripping wetness and tropical wind gave me goose bumps (on top of the other ones I had from being scared). Finally the beach was in sight. I kept running, out onto the hot sand. My feet were suddenly scorching hot and I started dancing around, hopelessly trying to avoid the heat. My mom and dad looked at me confused.
"What happened?" my dad said, looking at me covered in muck.
"I was just exploring the jungle when I accidentally found their camp, and for no reason they got mad at me, and started chasing me, and they were throwing rocks, and spears, and stuff at me, and then I fell and my fedora got wet, and…" I nearly collapsed from breathlessness.
"Whoa! Indie, I thought your friend said this island had no inhabitants?" My mom looked kind of agitated and worried.
"I thought this place looked familiar?" he said.
My lungs were just starting to recover when we saw the apparent natives almost out of the jungle. We grabbed as much of our stuff as we could in three seconds and ran for the small plane that brought us here. We were thirty feet away and I saw a big spider on my shoulder.
"AHHH! AHHH!" I started screaming and threw myself to the ground, brushing my hands all over my body trying to get it off. My dad ran back to me and pulled me back to my feet. Mom was in the plane yelling for the pilot to start it up. Dad climbed in the front passenger seat and I ran around the plane to get in on the other side. I got safely in and closed the door just as the pilot began to lift off. The Indians were practically right beside where we were landed. As we flew away, my mom was still uneasy from the angry group that chased us, but my mind was still on the island spider.
"Gah!" I shivered.
My dad looked back at me. "At least it wasn't a snake!"
