Nothing is clear. The world spins, faster and faster and Korra loses sight of the scene in front of her. She's aware of noises, voices calling out maybe, but she can't understand what they mean. No longer is she attached to herself as she feels something overwhelmingly powerful seep through her body.

Korra herself has no idea what's going on, but her body seems to know what to do, and she feels natural. She doesn't feel scared, like she knows she should, and she doesn't feel confused. In that moment, that hazy, unclear moment of what felt like pure insanity to her also felt right. There was no other way for her to think to explain it.

There was no way of knowing how long she felt like this, broken off from herself and watching the world spin and flash before her incoherently. It could have been seconds or hours, she wasn't sure. She could no longer keep track of anything.

Her senses still feel separated from her but she begins hearing the noises again, and slowly, they begin to make sense. It's my name, she thinks, the first coherent thought to have reached her since breaking away from herself. Someone is calling my name.

"Korra!" She can hear someone yelling, and very slowly the world around her begins to slow, and the flashing in her eyes dims. Suddenly she begins to feel and see things. She feels the ground below her, hard and cold, and she realizes she is lying down. Blinking hard she begins to see an outline of someone through the haze, coming towards her.

"Korra?" She can still hear the voice, see the shape coming to her, but her mind is still not a part of her. "Are you okay? Korra can you hear me? Bo, get Tenzin," She hears. She blinks hard, squinting and finally can see clearly, the haze almost gone.

Mako, she thinks, staring up at the fire bender kneeling by her side. That's who was calling my name. She notes the worried look plastered on his face, and wants to say something to him, but her voice catches as the words try to come out, "M-Mako.."

"Are you okay?" he asks quickly, searching her face.

She swallows, and nods, slowly trying to sit up, "Wh-what happened? Everything… just feels so hazy." She croaked out, looking over at him with a confused expression.

He blinks and looks mystified, "Korra, you entered the Avatar State."
