He was always lonely.

He was both feared and hated for something he did not do nor did he want to do. But still they feared and hated him. How unfair, isn't it? He tried to be friendly even though they hated him but what happened? They feard him even more. Why? Why? All he wanted was friends. All he wanted was to be accepted. He sigh as he stared hard at ground. He slightly pushed his feet from the ground making the swing sway. He gripped his teddy bear so he wouldn't let go of it. He was his only companion after all.

Suddenly he heard foot steps from behind. He stiffened. Who was it?

He turned around to see a girl whose age looked like she was 5 ( Same as his) with beautiful pink hair with a red ribbon tied into it. She had large turqouise eyes who express innocence of that kind. He gripped his teddy bear tighter. What did she want from him? Nobody went near him before.

"U-um.." She said, looking at the other way shyly.

He gazed at her.

"I..um..you see.." She mumbled as her eyes shifted from ground to his face.

"..."

Suddenly, as if she finally gathered up her guts to speak straight she kind of said out loud," I-im new here! my parents are visiting here in suna for a 3 day mission and well, I don't have any friends hereb and ..I-I saw you alone on the swing and thought we could be..um..friends and uh..that's it I guess.'

His eyes widened. She wanted to be his friend? She looked at him expectantly. No, she wasn't lying. Doesn't she know who he is?

"S-sure... W-what's y-your n-name?"

"Sakura Haruno" She mumbled.

" That means.. Cherry blossoms in the spring feilds.." He said.

"Y-yeah that's right! Only you and my friend Ino knows what my name means!" She smiled widely, her shyness fading.

"Really? Where are you from?" He smiled back. It really felt good to smile.

"Yup! I live in Konoha. Oh what's your name by the way?"

"..Gaara.. Of the Sand.."

Sakura smiled wider. " You're Gaara? Wow I thought you would be like a monster like the stories say, but you're just like me! I guess they were exaggerating..hmm..Ok Gaara! Let's play!"

"Uh..S-sure!" He was stunned that even though she already have heard of him she didn't look like she was scared or something

Maybe he wasn't lonely after all..At least he wasn't saw by everyone he was a monster. One saw him as a person.
