"I have lived with you and loved you, and now you are gone. Gone where I cannot follow, until I have finished all of my days." ~Victoria Hanley~

It was a sacrifice that have wrenched thousands of hearts upon her demise, even if the whole kingdom knew that it was the Great King's will.

And Odile von Wincott knew that, even after 18 years since his daughter's death, all was for the fulfillment of Shinou's will. But still, his heart ached at a single remembrance of such a painful memory.

Suzanna Julia was beloved by all the people around her; even the ever brunt Adalbert von Grantz. It was a marriage surrounded by and heeded for the purpose of politics, but nonetheless the two loved each other very much.

That he was sure of.

Adalbert had never been the same since her death and had moved against the kingdom eversince. He was showing all his pain through making conflicts in outlying human villages, piting them against the Mazoku kingdom just so he could erase-if not all the memory of losing her.

And did the only way he could to cope with the grief that he feels inside.

He could sympathize with the noble born Mazoku. Julia, other than a healer, is first and foremost, his beloved daughter.

She was the light that shone through the darkness, and despite her disability, she had proven her worth in the eyes of everyone; not because of being noble born, but of the way she brings herself.

She was gentle and graceful like the wind.

And at first few moments of knowing her death, his knees gave up and he fell to the floor, his tears staining the polished marble of their castle. Tears that was shed for the lost of someone so dear.

It was as if he was hit by a strong hurricane and never recovered.

His beloved daughter is gone.

Gone from this world.

If there's one thing he could wish is that to have her again, he doesn't care if it wasn't her in physical form but her all the same. But he knew that he could never be with her.

Not until he had his last breath.

'May this Great King looked upon this lonely soul.' he prayed as he looked up at the night sky, a small smile lighting his face. The stars twinkling against the darkness of the night.

Reminding him once again of the person he had lost. And would never get to see again.

But all the same, he would wait until the day they can be together in paradise. Until then, he would lived his life where she had died, and would do so until time passed.

Disclaimer: I do not own the anime Kyou Kara Maou! and all characters related to it cited in this fanfiction. Furthermore, I also do not own the qoute stated above. All goes to their respective authors. Dedicated to all parents who lost a child.

As it once said in Jodi Picoult's, My Sister's Keeper's and I qoute:

"There is a word to describe a child who had lost a parent, but not a parent who had lost a child." ~Sara Fitzgerald~ (Or near to that. I'll change it once I found the book)

Good Day! :)
