A/N; My first trip into the fandom of Sherlock. I was a bit afraid to start with something that had Sherlock dialogue, so I decided to go hunting for drabble prompts and found these babies. The drabbles are all based around the first episode but contain no spoilers except that the boys meet! Enjoy.
Disclaimer; I do not own Sherlock.
Ends
'How had he known?' John mused as he took a cab to what could soon be his new home. 221B Baker Street, Sherlock had said, an area John had never been. It was most likely too expensive, but he'd try anything just to leave that room. The place where he had spent so many nights laying awake or worse trapped in an endless nightmare. But he couldn't stop thinking about his would-be flatmate, Sherlock Holmes. How had he known, about Afghanistan, about his sister...about his leg? Holmes was interesting, maybe enough to end this misery that had engulfed his life...Maybe.
Middles
John Watson, the logical, practical, army doctor. Sherlock Holmes, the enigmatic, reckless, self-professed sociopath. To the outside world, they were incompatible; to each other, they were vital. While John would admit it to a point, Sherlock hid it expertly, though both would act on it when it counted, when lives were at stake, when the others life was threatened. They each knew that they could no longer live without the other where once they had, but if asked they could not remember ever crossing the middle ground, between living apart to being inseparable, their attraction had been instant and unbreakable.
Beginnings
He hadn't been back for days, reluctant to return to the normalcy that had almost suffocated him. Afraid to come down from the high that working with Sherlock presented. As he stood outside the room he'd spent nights embroiled in nightmares, he found he couldn't bring himself to open the door. He was frozen, stuck in the memory of what his life had been, until he felt his phone vibrate.
John, Lestrade called, may need gun. SH.
He could suddenly move again and turned the key. This was his old life; the text represented the beginning of a new one.
Thanks for reading! :)
