Still grinning, Shayera watched as John struggled to find words to explain their tardiness. "Well..." he started. Shayera couldn't hold it in, she laughed out loud. Batman turned his icy stare from John to Shayera and immediately, her laughter ceased. "Well?" Batman demanded. "This isn't the first the two of you have been late, from founding members I expect more from you." Shayera didn't like to hear this; she narrowed her eyes at the bat. "Geez Dad. We're so sorry we took a shower so we could be presentable to a meeting." The briefest smile appeared on Batman's face as he coolly said "We?" Shayera's mouth opened in shock as she realized what she just said. John was just as shocked and across the table, Wally laughed so hard soda spewed from his mouth. Diana and Superman were trying to stop their snickering, J'onn gave a tiny smile. "What she meant was-" John started but Shayera cut him off. "I meant exactly what I said, John and I took a shower. Together." The room went quiet and Wally gave her a thumbs up, Diana decided that the view of earth was fascinating, Superman simply waited for the meeting to start, J'onn still had his small smile, and Batman...well Batman simply glared. "So" she continued. "Are we going to start this meeting or not? After all we are running late."
