"Okay children. Open your science books to page 314" Mr. Sweet said, as he wrote on the white board. Eddie looked at the clock. 2:50 pm.
"Has anyone seen Ms. Williamson today?" Mr. Sweet asked. No one answered. "Was she in any other classes today?"
"She wasn't at Anubis this morning" Joy chimed in.
"Thank you, Miss Mercer" Mr. Sweet said. Eddie looked at the clock again. 2:53 pm. All of a sudden the door flew open.
"I can explain why I'm late" Patricia said, fear shining in her eyes.
"Patricia! You haven't been in school all day, I have gotten no notification of why you didn't come, and to top things off, you aren't even in your uniform!" Mr. Sweet said without a breath.
"Well duh. I basically came here first" Patricia muttered. Eddie held in a slight laugh at her comeback.
"To my office, now" Mr. Sweet ordered.
"But Mr. Sweet-" Patricia got cut off.
"My office, NOW" his voice boomed. Patricia sighed and walked out the door.
"Class is dismissed early" he said. "You can all return to your individual houses".
The class separated out of the door, each student walking with their friends back to the houses. Mr. Sweet walked to his office, only to see Patricia never came, she left immediately. He would find her and see what was going on. For he, saw the fear building up behind her blue-green/grey eyes. Fear that only one person could cause.
The Anubis students walked into the house, not expecting to see the redhead standing in Victor's office. Fabian looked closely and could see the two were arguing.
"What's going on?" Alfie asked.
"No one knows" Eddie whispered, his eyes still glued to Victor's office. They all became silent, as Patricia and Victor's voices argued over each other.
"Maybe she became an alien and Victor is the leader" Alfie said.
"No. That's definitely not it. But, I'll find out. I mean, she is my girlfriend after all" Eddie mentioned.
"You didn't get that message?" Amber said in a serious tone.
"What?" Eddie asked, his voice cracking.
"Just kidding!" Amber said in an explosion of laughter. Everyone started to laugh, even Eddie who just felt his heart break into tons of pieces. All of a sudden, Victor's office door swung open. Patricia walked out, tears running down her face. She continued to walk into the girls foyer.
"I'm going to talk to her" Joy said.
"Why you?" everyone asked.
"We're best friends" she replied simply.
"Yeah, well, I've known her since we were eleven!" Amber shot back.
"I'm her boyfriend" Eddie said.
"Good comeback" Joy and Amber said simultaneously.
"Thank you. It took some time, but I managed" Eddie said with a smirk
"I'm going anyways" Joy said walking away.
"Well, she would have gone anyways" Jerome said, shaking his head. Soon they would all find out what happened. They would all find out the truth.
