The Ocean
It billows deep in his eyes,
Violent, calm, always in flux.
It changed and shifted,
And with it, so did he.
One moment, angry and violent,
The next, calm and silent.
The deep blue, that spark of life.
The hurricanes, typhoons and whirlpools
The ocean's fury.
They all reside in those eyes.
Those blue, blue eyes.
And just like the ocean,
a cruel but kind mistress she is,
He protects those he has claimed as his own.
The ocean lives within those deep, blue pools.
Those deep eyes that held mystery,
And such an unfathomable sadness,
Hidden deep behind his kindness.
