With a clang his body hit the mat. All his programs screamed at him to stay down. To survive despite what he was.
But he could hear it.
He could hear it, over the screaming of all the humans within the arena. He could hear his boy saying something.
Too quiet.

The little boy that knew his secret was saying something.

It trickled into his program, sending all his part sparking.

He wants me to get up.

With a groan he lifted himself off of the mat, sending his body up.
I'm up, he thought.
He wished he could turn to the boy behind him, just to show him he had listened to his friend. He wished he could speak.
But for now he would do as the boy wished.
He would win with the help of the boy's father.
He would win for his human.
For his Max.
