Introduction
Laurel's P.O.V.
'This is my year.' Was the thought running through my head as I looked into the mirror. "Sutton and her hoard graduated, this is my senior year, this is my year," I whispered as I fixed the hem of my black dress
I walked over to me en suit bathroom and turned on the light. The large vanity tables my destination. Enough make up to supply Hollywood for a year was spread across it and I started to apply some.
After a few minutes I deemed myself acceptable and started on my hair. I curled it so that the shiny, blonde curls framed my face and gently rolled down past my shoulders.
When it looked absolutely perfect, I went back into my room and pulled on a pair of copper color colored heels and a matching belt.
"Laurel, are you ready yet?" my mom asked as she opened my bedroom door.
"Almost," I replied as I sprayed myself with some Viva La Juicy.
"You look beautiful, honey." My mom replied in the weepy my baby's growing up voice.
"Thanks mom." I said as I walked over to my mirror and put in a pair of dangling, copper colored earrings.
I turned back towards her when I was done, to catch her wiping her teary eyes.
"It's alright mom." I told her and crushed her into a giant hug. She hugged me back and then pulled back after a few minutes.
"You better get going, so you won't be late." Giving me another short hug she let the room leaving me alone once more.
Sighing I grabbed my purse and walked out of my room and down to the kitchen. Waving to my dad I walked over to the counter and grabbed the keys to my brand new candy apple red corvette.
"Be careful, Laurel, and have a good day at school." My dad said as he pressed a kiss to my cheek.
"I will, daddy." I replied and then I was out the door.
The drive to school was uneventful, and when I arrived I pulled into the spot that I had inherited from Sutton, the best spot in the whole parking lot.
As soon as I had turned off the engine my three best friends flocked my car. Kennedy, Vivian, and Maria all had looks of awe and jealousy on there faces as I got out of my new car.
"You guys like? Mom and Dad got it for me as a back to school/happy senior year gift." I told them with all of the nonchalance I could muster.
"Um, do you think your parents would adopt me?" Kennedy asked breaking the charged silence.
"Maybe, ask next time you come over." I said laughing slightly.
Even though I had wanted the summer to consist of the four of us hanging out all the time and having some fun before our twelfth grade year, we had all drifted apart and everything now felt awkward and forced.
"Let's get inside girls," I said and we all started towards the monstrous building.
Sighing on the inside, I hoped this year wouldn't suck as much as I thought it would.
We entered the school and went to the auditorium and found seats in the back for orientation. The people around us were talking amongst themselves; the jocks, cheerleaders, and other populars.
I sat down and sipped the latte that I had picked up at my usual Starbucks, and sipped it.
After a few minutes our principle, Mr. Rockerfeller walked onstage and we all quieted down marginally. He started talking about some unimportant school stuff; my mind wondering at he talked. I tuned back in as this incredibly gorgeous man walked up to him on the stage.
"I would like to introduce you all to, Asher Beaxdre, the new French teacher."
'I will have him.' I thought to myself as I sat there mesmerized.
So how did I do? Well tell me in a Review
