Siblings
The kids were in the living room playing together while Jackie sat on the couch with Sloan, absentmindedly reading a magazine. Nick hadn't come home from work yet.
"Are you helping mommy turn the pages?" She asked the baby who had grabbed a hold of the corner of the magazine.
Sloan grinned at her as if he was surprised she had noticed.
"No Kari." Jackie heard suddenly.
Jackie glanced down and Karlie had grabbed one of Houston's toy airplanes and by the sound of it Houston wasn't too happy about it.
"Houston, be nice and share with your sister." Jackie told him.
"Her eat it." He protested.
Jackie looked at Karlie and sure enough the toddler had the corner of the plane in her mouth.
Jackie didn't blame Houston for not being happy about that, it grossed Jackie herself out.
Jackie got up off of the couch and got down on the floor next to Karlie.
"Karlie don't put your brother's toys in your mouth, that's icky, here, play with it like this." Jackie told her as she grabbed the plane from her and pretended to fly it in the air, making fun plane noises as she did so.
Sloan burst into a fit of giggles listening to his mother's antics.
Jackie chuckled at him.
Karlie grabbed the plane and imitated what Jackie had just done.
"There good job, that's how you play with it." She praised the little girl.
Karlie grinned at Jackie, the child appeared to be very proud of herself.
"Good dob sissy." Houston told her.
"Can she play with it now?" Jackie asked Houston.
"Yeah."
"Thank you, you're such a nice big brother." Jackie told him as she gently tousled his hair.
She got up off of the floor and sat back down on the couch, content that her children were once again getting along.
Jackie looked at Sloan and smiled. She started making the plane noises again but this time as she did so she moved her hand towards the baby's stomach and gently tickled him.
He giggled like crazy.
When she stopped he looked at her as if to say come on mommy do it again. So she did, over and over again.
She could listen to the baby giggle all day, to her there wasn't a sound more precious than a baby's giggle.
Pretty soon all of the kids walked over to where Jackie and Sloan sat and they too started tickling the extremely happy baby.
Jackie couldn't think of a better way to spend the afternoon.
The End!
