"Baby," a voice bled into his mind, invading his thoughts, and pulling him from sleep. "Babe, wake up." A light pressure on his lower stomach told him that his visitor was sitting there, leaning over him. Her breath was warm on his face compared to the chilled air around as laid still, trying not to give away that he was awake.. willing her to stay just a bit longer. Her weight shifted and he suddenly felt her chest press to his, and then the breath was in his ear as a whisper filled it, "I know you're awake, Sammy."

A smiled covered his face as his hands found her knees and slowly moved up her bare thighs to her hips, clad in what he could safely assume were a pair of his boxer briefs. His eyes blinked open to take in the sight of his girlfriend. Tousled hair and one of his muggle sports shirts, she looked like an angel to him. He arched his back to stretch and also grind up into her. Smirking now, he rolled them over and kissed her check saying, "Morning, Baby."

They laid there trading stories of what happened in their dreams and sharing kisses that turned into a little more.. but after a while, Santana had gotten up to use the bathroom. As Sam laid there, he could feel the chill of the air creeping in now that he was alone. He didn't know why, but the moment she slipped from the sheets, his chest felt tight.. almost as if he was being pressed down into the mattress. He shut his eyes from the intense loneliness he felt.. not willing his body to be over taken by the sudden feeling that something was wrong.

A scream filled the room through the bathroom door and Sam rolled from the bed rapidly. Running as his heart pounded, it was as if he was crossing a field to get to her, he burst through the door to find Santana standing on top of the counter pointing towards the floor. He wanted to just rush to her, but he instead looked over at the small spider now trying to crawl over the bath mat. He picked up a magazine from the back of the toilet and then leaned over and dropped it on the insect then stepped on it. Lifting the mat and carrying it out of the bathroom without removing the magazine, he glanced at Santana quickly before taking it to the washroom and just throwing both away, knowing she wouldnt want to use either again.

Returning to her, he put his hands on her cheeks, cupping her face, before wrapping his arms around her and lifting her from the counter. She gripped him, hiding her face in his neck. "You're my hero, Babe." she said softly as he laid down with her in his arms once again.

"I'm no hero," he said, moving stray hairs from her face.

Smiling wide at him, she lifted her hand to catch his and hold it to her cheek again, she said, "You're Mine."

He didn't reply, just lean forward to kiss her. The blonde Hufflepuff wouldn't tell her how terrified he was when she screamed.. or how he had expected the worse when he opened the door… Instead he just pressed his forehead down into hers and whispered, "Can we stay here all day? I just.. I need to feel you here."

A dog barked, followed by giggles and running footsteps through the hall outside as Sam sat up.. realising he had fallen asleep in the window sill watching the first years learn to fly.. and had only dreamed of Santana being his.
