I've been thinking of names for the baby. Maybe Samuel if its a boy Kendra for a girl. Yes, Kendra Ann Mulder sounds good. Or maybe Samuel...Samuel...Samuel William Mulder. What do you think Dad ?

how do you think I should tell mom? I mean this is just what I told her could never happen...and it happened! I'm pregnant, I'm not supposed to be pregnant but I am. But then again, you're supposed to be here and...you're not. God, Mulder I miss you.

I finally told mom today over lunch. She was worried at first, which was to be expected I guess, but then she didn't care how it happened. SHe was just so happy for me and excited to have another grandchild on the way. She knew right away you were the father, I think thats what she hoped all along. I...I didn't have the heart to tell her you were gone. I didn't want to bring her happiness crashing down and worry her.

Had lunch with Ellen today and told her about the baby. I made her swear to secrecy thoough, not wanting all of D.C. to know. Ellen's like that sometimes, but I trust her this time. She still wants to plan a shower though, and who am I to prevent my best girl-friend from throwing a baby shower? Family only, just mom, Charlie and the family, Bill, Tara, and the kids, Ellen and her fiance Curtis, myself and the father. That is, if he's back from...out of town by then.

I've been missing work more often lately simply to take off. Skinner says I need the rest. I've started to show a bit so soon I'm going to have to tell John about the baby, before everybody just starts to think I'm getting fat. I just don't want to tell him because I know he'll go into protective big brother mode. He's like you like that. Although I'm sure he wouldn't make a big deal out of me breaking a nail, unlike some people...

Went back to work today, although Skinner has made sure I stay at the office. He's really starting to remind me of my father. I reorganized some of the files that John always seems to misplace and finished filing some evidence from our last case. That sounds so strange. Our last case. Mine and Doggett's, not mine and yours. Besides that I pretty much just read through that book Frohike got me 'The Joy of Motherhood,' and cleaned. Yes your hear me, I cleaned. You won't recognize the office when you get back, its soo clean and organized. Well you wouldn't recognize if it weren't for all those of those UFO articles and your poster. I told John to leave them up.
I want to believe your coming back to me.
