Going against the odds
A/N: My amusing attempt at something I'm not good at.

When you fall asleep at the opposite side of your bed, with your head tipping on the end, you know you live a life of stress. Stress? Not a good sign when you're trying to take over your father's kingdom, and still try to be a normal high school student. But he could handle stress, because he could handle anything.
C.C awoke with a grumbling stomach and an irritating, yet tempting, temptation to go bother Lelouch. Not because she necessarily liked doing it, but because it was time consuming and at 3:25 in the morning there really is nothing left for you to do, but go to sleep. She wasn't sleepy and bothering Lelouch, to her, was much more appealing. It was just what she did, besides eat pizza and mooch off of some other guys paycheck.
Dressed in nothing but Lelouch's school shirt, C.C casually walked into the kitchen. With pizza in hand and without a second thought she walked into Lelouch's room. As she expected, Lelouch wasn't in bed and he wasn't asleep. He was on his computer. She could understand that.
"It's late, you should be in bed." She decided to poke around with him anyway.
He answered without looking at her. "Likewise, C.C." The computer screen and the moon was the only light source in the room. "You need to be in bed."
C.C scoffed. "I don't think you're in a position to be telling me what I need to do. I'd prefer to be asked." She started taking the pepperoni's off of her pizza, one by one, and then eating them. C.C had a different way of eating pizza just as she had a different way of doing everything.
"Okay then. Please go to bed?" Lelouch glanced at her and then back at the computer screen.
"No."
"Alright then,"
C.C frowned, but said nothing in return to that. After several minutes of quietness, C.C said. "You're strangely agreeable with me. What's wrong with you?" It wasn't that she necessarily cared; she knew that there were probably several things wrong, but she asked anyway.
Lelouch seemed to smirk as he clicked the mouse. "I'm not so sure you would understand, so I'm wary of telling you."
That response seemed to offend C.C. "I think I deserve to know. If it wasn't for me, you wouldn't even be alive." Unintentionally she poked her nose up in a snobby manner and pursed her lips. The spiciness of the pepperonis' burned in her mouth.
"And to that, I'm grateful."
C.C sighed and then shook her head. "Forget I said anything."
"With pleasure."
