David sat back in the old wicker chair his lips forming a smile. "Nope." As Penelope begged, he chuckled, "No way. You can beg all you want, I'm not telling you." He smirked and put his hands behind his head. His charge lunged at him. Her hands attacking his ribcage with gentle strokes. "I'm not ticklish there." He stuck out his tongue and raised a brow before placing his hands on her neck. His fingers trickled down to her ribs. He listened to her delightful mousey laugh, "Nooo, noo!" She yelled. "Stop it David!"

The Whitelighter's smirk grew. He stood, picking her up into his arms. "Do you really want to know?" She settled down, looked up at him and nodded. He looked at her, examined her features. Her eyes didn't seem real. The iris formed perfect circles of various gray and silver hues, dimples formed around plump rosy lips and her little button nose twitched as a few strands of silvery blonde hair tickled her skin. She was the most beautiful woman he had ever laid eyes on, but he could never let her know that.

He watched as her eyes lit up with excitement. He pursed his lips and set her down. David ran his hands through his hair and sighed, "Alright. I'll tell you." When she squealed with excitement, his heart skipped a beat. That sound was one of David's favorite things about her. He smiled, looked into her eyes, inhaled and then exhaled heavily. "I can't cook."

Her jaw dropped and her eyes glazed over only for a moment, her face was priceless. He knew this wasn't the secret she was expecting and he could tell she was just a little upset. "Seriously? Come on David, that can't be it." He lifted his arms and shrugged. "That's it." He watched her pout. She was so adorable when she would pout. What she said next surprised him, he was sure she would have stormed off or at least given him a good smack.

"Well, I don't know much, but Piper has been teaching me. Maybe I can teach you something. Maybe how to make toast without setting it on fire." Almost instantly they both burst into laughter remembering the previous morning when David had indeed burnt toast to the point where it had caught on fire. "I think that would be a good start." He smiled and wrapped his arms around her. "How about we start now. I'm starving."
